When this song hit NYC in 1982, I was 12 years old. It was my favorite song along with Junior's, MaMa used to say. I begged my Mother to buy me the record so I could listen to it whenever I wanted to. She took me to Sam Goody and bought me the '45 single. I miss those days. I miss the 80's!

Please listen to people when they tell you about a culture you are not apart of . most of the people in the comments that are telling me otherwise , are white . If you don’t know enough about that culture / aren’t apart of that culture you don’t get to speak about that culture . You can comment about it , praise or criticize it , but you as a white person don’t get to tell me what I do , and do not believe in my culture that I have been apart of since I was born . TLDR ; don’t make assumption on what a culture believes , if you yourself are not part of that culture .
