There was something resembling an AMG version. The A210 Evolution came out after the face-lift. It had 140 horsepower, but, light as it was, that made it far less slow. The successor was offered as the A200 Turbo. That had 193 horsepower, so it finally got somewhere.

Fun story, back in the day my friends and I went for night time runs of our favorite backroad in central Germany. It's an old hill-climb road up, and the way down is even tighter with straight stretches that allow around 120 kph. I had a Skoda with a 1,9 TDI, a friend with a W124, another friend with a Audi A3 and one girl, that had an Diesel a-class. No turbo on the a-class. We went so hard in the a-class, that the brakes were red hot glowing. We thought it was weirdly fun. (Btw all cars were on steel wheels with hub caps, never will forget the glowing red discs behind the steelies)

This should definitely increase the value on C&B!

New segment idea with a different take of Top-Gear's lap: 1.) Keep the Mercedes and guests do a hot lap. 2.) Have a standard fast car for all guests to do a hot lap (american muscle maybe?) 3.) Guests can bring their own car and compete against Doug in his Porsche. Times are added together for a final Doug score.

Doug seams to be genuinely cool guy to have as a friend and have fun with! It's such a blast watching this video!

Fun fact, there was a one-off version, *A38*, where they put two engines in this thing. There was also an A32K, with 354 horsepower - just because.

"i learned in 30 minutes that I didn't like it" Man that thing must be REALLY boring if doug dosen't like it that rapidly. What could be worse, an i-MIEV? All the downsides of the A class, but with 50 miles of range.
