When you throw out a Pokémon to gather resources for you (this includes iron on the ground or medicated leeks), you can swap to another Pokémon while the other is still in the animation and throw that one to get something else

The tips are appreciated but several of these the game literally does tell you, like with bagin there's a mandatory cutscene where he explains bag expansion to you.
  • Heres one i havent seen anyone mention. In battle, if you have a status effect like poison, you arent immune to other status effects anymore. I was poisoned then got hit with flamethrower and i got switched to being burned.

I am addicted to this game. Last night I look at the clock and I’m like damn I have to get up in 3 hours for work lmao.

You almost never need to use the run option in fights as you can just manually run away.
  • @miunya
You can speak to your pokemon and press Y A and B to do emotes with them :)

3:08 aCTUAlly...the game does tell you how to icnrease your inventory.

You can also fast travel by pressing X while your map is open and selecting where you want to go. Super convenient hopefully next time they let you go anywhere without needing to drop by the village first before going to a different area.

I usually use the poke head stamp on maps to mark alpha or higher level areas for exp farming

On the day/night cycle, you don't even need to talk to the dude, you can just go straight to the tent and do it from there

To add to the number 1 entry, if you hit the first pokemon you throw out with the other 5s pokeballs they'll all circle the first one and talk with it. You can also walk up and talk to them making them all turn to you. If you look your characters expressions even change.

Yeah seriously guys - some useful tips here and I appreciate the content, but the spoiler overlooks are not ok. Whoever's editing this video needs a wake-up call!

I love this game. I can't wait to play again. 15 hours in.
  • I had my doubts about this game at first. But after having played for some time now, I’m finding I actually enjoy it more than the core series…to an extent anyway. I like how the wild Pokémon have different reactions to encountering the player rather than simply starting it in a battle setting right away. They will either run away from the player or go on the attack, something we see real wild animals do which adds some realism to the game not seen before. I also like how you can choose between crafting or buying most of the items rather than being restricted to one or the other.
  • Wow cool! 😎 Thanks Scott Tailford! Love the way your voice says years in some of the videos you have done.

Really glad to see this! It was definitely needed cause like others, I had no idea some of these!

Poison is the same as before can't poison types and steel. Frostbite is like burn but for special attack you can't freeze ice types, drowseness is like paralysis but all pokemon can be affected, and drowsee pokemon take more damage, burn is same as before can't burn fire pokemon, paralysis reduces speed of pokemon and may not be able to attack electric pokémon can't be paralysed(you can paralyse ground with stun spore) status affect only last a few tuns and disappear after battle you can override a status like if they use rest the you use thunder wave they will be paralysed. Status effects make a pokemon easier to catch. I only know about the changes because of looking up online the game doesn't tell you at all.
  • The second one is mentioned in the game if you read the dialogue. Volo tells you at the start of the game
  • @EvilPikachu
You know what an inevitable sequel to this needs? Pokéball Plus support. How in the hell does this game not support it? I mean come on, that's a no brainer surely?
  • @buttonsfan
Smoke bombs are pretty good to further sneak up on Pokémon to catch them without Battling.
