  • Their games are mostly bought by resellers just to sell off later on who never play them missing the point if a limited copy of a Digital onky game. They cost a Fortune to get if you live outside US thanks to shiping costs and import tax. They made games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection and Street of Rage 4 harder to buy Boxed copys of in US whlist in Europe they was just sold Boxed online and in Retail Stores.

Dude shantae on the 3ds preorder was a disaster! NO ONE CUSTOMER LIMIT! ALL THE SCALPERS BOUGHT ALL COPYS IN 2 MINUTES. PEOPLE WANT SHANTAE GAMES TO PLAY PHYSICALLY AND CANT CUZ LIMITED RUN IS SO TRASH

Limited Run just took the business model of underground labels and ran with it. With a lot of labels, they might have 40-50k fans for a group - but they'll intentionally sell vinyl records and CDs in short runs of 100-500-1k so that fans eat them up as fast as possible. If you've heard of bands like Spiritbox, that is why its so hard to get the majority of their earlier stuff - because its always limited and sold out due to intentionally limiting quantities. I'd hate it, if it wasn't a smart way to get a return. Sadly, much like Limited Run's releases - a lot of these are eaten up by scalpers who resell them on sites like discogs. You just can't escape the scalpers, eve.

Mob: Hey LRG! This woman follows someone we don't like! What's up with that!? LRG fires the woman. Mob: Yo LRG that was fucked up!!

Ordering direct from them is pointless. It's always more expensive and always late. Their business seems to revolve around providing things to buy for their whale customers who will buy any $3 shovelware title as long as it's limited and physical. I'm also kind of annoyed about hearing about the person fired for their social media use. I don't really care and I'm sick of it getting spammed on limited run tweets. I think the reasons for the firing are stupid and I think anyone who works at a place like this should avoid social media if they have any opinions stronger than strawberry icecream is better than vanilla. Anyone who presses their luck can expect bad things and they need to stop equating freedom of speech with freedom of all consequences.

Actually I don't care about their political stance, I just want their delivery times to be shorter goddamnit lol. It's hard to stay hype for a game for nearly a year
  • I was able to get a copy of Scott Pilgrim: Complete Edition in April from them and I forget if I pre-ordered it (but I wouldn’t be surprised if I did). But I also forgot why people hold ire towards LRG until just recently. Yeesh. A little skeptical towards getting a physical copy of Hi-Fi Rush, the Star Wars Battlefront remasters, and Shantae Advance if this is all a common practice.

I bought River City Girls Zero Ultimate Edition February 18th 2022. Just looked at the receipt. Still haven't gotten it despite being shipped the past like 3 or 4 months now. That's just one example. I've got a bunch of other pre orders I'm still waiting on. That said i do get them................eventually. Strictly Limited Games is pretty bad too but dammit their collectors editions are actually worth waiting for. I've got nothing bad to say about them. Love their releases and their quality collectors editions. Even the boxes are amazing with the magnetic latches. Good stuff. Lol
  • I mean, North Carolina employers have incredible unilateral hiring/firing power thanks to "right to work" laws, so tbh I don't much care about the firing "controversy." But I can definitely attest to the shit wait times. I get it for some things like ultimate editions, but I'm going on almost a year waiting on items that were in-stock at time of ordering.
  • @SmileRYO
I used to buy from them all the time, but I got sick of having to buy the big bulky collectors editions full of useless filler crap if I wanted a physical soundtrack CD along with my games.
  • @GiuseppeFPS
im pretty fortunate to live like 3 hours from their actual retail store. So i usually just buy my products from their.
  • @driley1988
some games recently came much quicker than I expected. But one of the problems I think LRG have is they be trying to do too much at one time. I'm impressed how they're able to keep track with all those orders
  • One of the only good things Limited Run has ever done IMO is LRG3 (their nostalgia bait E3-like event). Basically the E3 of indie games. And they even gave WayForward the necessary funds to complete Shantae Advance, which btw, looks like it could have been a GBA classic had it been released. They're also a digital publisher, and I find funny that This Way Madness Lies (LRG published and first revealed at LRG3 2023) came out digitally before a physical pre-order date would be announced.
  • @edge1000
Never had issues with them. Always got my games on time.
  • @HaffDeadFred
Aww damn I just pre ordered three games from them before I seen this smh I hope it shows up on time
  • @Bru21424
Who is ian miles chung 1:57 also about the Twitter alligation guy. Why are they taking the info down when technically they had now way of knowing and didn't had anything to do with with what the guy was saying as gross as it its
