  • Nobody gonna talk bout how this man said “Sokka” like how they said it in the live adaptation and not how they say it in the anime🤨
  • @MarthDragon
I wonder if Kyoshi lived so long to balance out how short Kuruk lived? Imagine Kyoshi having Kuruk as her primary previous avatar guide.
  • @2406west
Kuruk had a truly sad life as well. Everyone considered him a useless Avatar that just drank and didnt care about anyone but himself while he was actually sacrificing himself little by little protecting them in the spirit world. He was actually pretty selfless the people just couldn't see it since they cant enter the spirit world

There was this theory I saw (not mine) that each avatar's biggest mistake/regret they made in there lifetime the next avatar fixes, example: Roku's biggest regret was not stopping fire lord Sozin before he could start the,Aang fixed it by ending the war. Aang's biggest regret was not being there when his people (the air nomads) were killed, Korra fixed this when she brought balance to the world she brought air benders back. And so what im saying is that Korra losing connection to her past lives is her biggest regret the next avatar (forgot his name) will somehow regain the connection to all his past lives again.

Kuruk is so underrated. Not only did he do all the things that you talk about, He did them with no desire for recognition. People thought he was lazy because he would fall asleep in meetings because he was up all night fighting spirits in the spirit world. He had to bring balance back to the entire spirit realm because of all the mess-ups from the previous avatar. And he didn't want to taint her name because he was so noble. He bought the strongest benders in the physical world, Then went and fought the strongest spirits in the spirit world. All while the world thought he was lazy. I absolutely love him.

Kyoshis immortality was taught to her by Lao Ge “Tieguai The Immortal” by rebuilding her cells one by one, with EARTH BENDING, it was not a water bending technique or healing. 22:36
  • Aang by the end of the show had only mastered Air and Water and the Avatar State but Toph said that his earthbending still needed work and Aang himself said that he hadn't mastered fire yet.
  • Dropping this in with everyone else who pointed it out: His fusing with Rava did not give Wan the other 3 elements, that's what allowed him to KEEP the elements. He went on a walkabout with her and received them one by one, switching them out through her as his body could not handle them all at once. Fusing with her let him use them all at once and gave him that Avatar buff. Kyoshi being bad at earthbending isn't inaccurate but it's a little misleading. She was bad at control. She could rip up entire chunks of land easily but struggled to move small rocks with precision. The feat of hers that made people think she might be the Avatar was her pulling up bedrock from underwater in the arctic. Other abilities of hers not mentioned were her ability to bend glass and to flashfreeze blood

To be fair to Szeto, the avatar's duty is to maintain balance. if the Fire Nation had fallen into anarchy or civil war, it wouldn't have had the sheer population or resources needed to recover quickly like the Earth Kingdom did with Kuvira. The world would have been very similar to the one we see in Aang's time, out of balance
  • @22s22a
Aang didn't master the other elements in 1 year ... He basically got down the basics..enough to fight the fire lord
  • Let’s not forget one more part of Kuruk’s pain. It’s not pertinent to how strong he was but even his love life wasn’t safe because Koh the face stealer stole the face of his fiancée Ummi as a punishment for Kuruk’s awful behaviors 🥹
  • @jodiewhittle1692
I truly hope the next earth avatar is a spiritual person and with Jinora’s guidance can enter the spirit world and reconnect the past lives.
  • @elistrations
The way he says "No boobs" made me burst out laughing
  • Aang actually became a fully fledged Avatar in less than a year which is even more impressive. I believe the timeline of the show spans about 9ish months. I only say that because episode 8 of season 1 is the Winter Solstice which takes place in the end of December and in season 3 in the episode The Firebending Masters they mention the summer solstice being a few weeks away I believe when trying to open the door. I also believe that Sozin's Comet was supposed to happen on the date the episode released in 2008 which is July 19th. Again, could be wrong but whatevs lol
  • I think Aangs chi was being amplified while he was in that block of ice for 100 years. That constant state of meditation had to boost something!
  • @Saimeren
I don't think Aang was a fully realized Avatar by the end of the show. He had only just begun training in Firebending, and Toph mentions that he still needs work on his Earthbending. The Avatar State bending isn't Aang's bending. It's the collective knowledge of all of the other Avatars working through him. Aang didn't even master the Avatar State until the second he drops out of it before killing Ozai. I don't think Aang was a fully realized Avatar by the end of the show. I think he was an accomplished Avatar. I think he was good enough for the situation he found himself in, but I don't think he was as good as he was going to get.
  • I've been watching Avatar since it's very first airing when I was 5 years old and it's so great to see how much it has grown and how much it's loved. I'm excited to see where it goes from here
  • @ryangentry2003
I still think Bumi, Aang’s son, should have been revealed to be an energy bender. Introducing a whole new tribe of benders would have been so cool in a follow series to Korra
  • @kennydreadful618
Kyoshi pushed the island with airbending as a literal flex 😂
  • I COULDNT AGREE MORE WITH THIS LIST!!! I’ve always thought yengchen was always the most powerful like imagine being so loved and respected for doing your job right that there are no wars for 200 years!!! She’s so iconic so glad she finally got her novel!
