This is why Australians have stricter gun control. You give them firearms, and the first thing they do is this.

Here's a neat history fact involving shooting people: During a speech, a man attempted to assassinate President Theodore Roosevelt by shooting him in the heart. Roosevelt, being a skilled hunter, knew the bullet didn't hit anything vital, since he wasn't coughing up blood. This was because of the steel glasses case in his breastpocket, as well as the script for his speech he folded in half, taking most of the damage. With the bullet still in his chest, he gave the rest of his speech before seeking medical attention. People began to joke about how he only survived because of his habit of long winded speeches, making the script a hundred pages thick when folded.
  • For those wondering why he was able to easily cut kevlar but it can stop bullets, kevlar is designed and woven in a way that is meant to stop sudden fast moving objects. It sucks against anything that cuts or applies constant piercing pressure because cutting destroys the weaves and constant pressure will find it's way through the gaps in the weave.
  • Can we talk about his trigger discipline? Every time he shot he took his finger away and most of the time even checked the barrel. He obviously listened to the safety instructions. Very well done!

Just FYI for anyone reading this, not all bulletproof vest are also stab proof For Kevlar to be stabproof, it has to be more tightly wooven than the Kevlar used for bulletproof vest What stops bullets is different than what stops knives

My man has no chill. Making a joke about William's mom being hot is something half the youtubers would do but brother you took things further than anyone else would. 6/5 well done.
  • @mushirooms
completely shocked that not a single person mentioned him rubbing cat shit on his apron with his bare hands

My brother was at a party that got raided by a gang once. He hid in a very heavily-packed closet, wherein a stray bullet found its way. 21 shirts stopped the bullet. He didn't come out completely unscathed though, as one of the assailants stabbed him with a beer bottle. He's fine, but does have a scar. Yes, we live in America.

Years ago I tried making Canadian pellet gun grade armour. Turns out, unless you're using steel or laminated fabric in epoxy, a .177 at 480fps is surprisingly penetrative
  • I love how William Osman can make his own x ray machine but cant un bend his fender enough to let his passenger door open
  • Just recently came across this channel, it’s quickly become one of my favorites!! I can see why over 4 million people are subscribed. Great mix of ingenuity, and ridiculousness with a touch of common sense. So much time put into things destined to fail but usually has a great point of why some things just don’t work. Oddly enough I just realized that I watch several channels, all so different from one another except for the fact they are all from Australia! I wonder exactly how many YouTubers are in Australia in comparison to other places? Anyway thanks for the great content and entertainment! Take care

The reason the 22 were going through more layers is because each time you puncture one, it loses a lot of it's ability to catch another one, something about the tension in the fabric being released or something. Not entirely sure though, but I'm sure someone below will correct me

No mic can contain the levels of hype Alan embodies.
  • @newpivot1
They aren't wearing hearing protection for the guns, they are wearing hearing protection for Alan's voice.
  • What people don't normally think of when it comes to bullet proof materials, is the freaking punch you will still get and you can still be seriously bruised
  • @Srfingfreak
Fun story - long term chest compression can result in a phenomena similar to "shallow water blackout" in which you're not getting a full breath of air, constantly falling a little bit behind on respiration and eventually passing out.
  • I was worried this whole time cause while I didn't expect him to test the apron with it on his body, I also would not have been surprised in the slightest if he did do that

I’ve struggled with nail picking/biting all my life. It is really nice to see someone who is not afraid to show them to the world
