Great information on these potential storms. You are very clear with solid depictions on what is and what might happen. These water temps are wild. Well Done Sir. Looking forward to other installments from the Channel.

Thanks for updating us and keeping us informed and learning about the weather! Hope everyone stays safe, this won’t be the last bad storm this year.

When the big weather factors such as shear, positions of the main ridge and troughs along with sea surface temperatures remain unchanged, then it is common to see a repeating weather pattern, but not just in the tropics, but also as we did this spring with the severe weather season in the central U.S. It was violent and prolonged because the features that were coming together to contribute to it kept reapeating. The same can be responsible for long hot summers for some locals, and very snow winters. You will usually find the positions of the main Highs and troughs over the northern hemisphere become static. This can last a couple of months or even 1 or 2 years. Remember that the El Nino going over to La Nina is causing more favorable shear condtions for the Caribbean and Gulf this season, and the La Nina should last into the winter season. So patterns can get established and then take time to change, meanwhile you may be stuck in a weather rut if it is causing you some kind of an extreme.

David, great work with your streams. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
  • Spread the word, that if anyone lives by those waters, make sure you have flood insurance.

When are you going to put your preliminary winter forecast out????????🤔😤

After dealing with Debby’s Insanity on August 2nd to the 5th with August 4th getting the most Tornadoes all over Southwestern & Central Florida. This is going to become even more busy this hurricane season and I know September is going to go even more wild as we’re going to near Peak Hurricane Season this year.

Even if you have insurance it's not worth it. Buy houses away from beaches and swamps.

Yes getting busy in a few weeks for sure usually there is a Monsonal flow and MJO that play into the outlook. I would not be surprised later on down the road a few weeks if several tropical systems that form like 2005 over the mid part of the Atlantic. Haiyan formed in a large monsonal flow and absorb it into the core of the storm.
