I forgot they were acting for a sec

3:05 His little voice crack is just astounding to me. It's something that always happen when one gets too emotional, it doesn't even feel like acting. I don't even know how anyone can reach that level of acting, that level of total immersion in the scene and in the character. Both of them are fantastic, but Adam was out of this world in this movie.

He's scarier in this film than he ever was in star wars

  • This movie was very personal for me. I was a child of divorced parents and this scene brought back some painful memories of my parents arguments. I remember just putting a pillow over my ears, to try and suppress the raised voices of the things they dare to say to each other. It was something that crushed me as a child. I’m 23 now happily in love with someone and hope to pick my partner wisely without having to relive that hurt again. I’m not looking for perfection, only trust and comfort.

People who think this is exaggerated definitely had a pretty happy childhood

I think one of the most brilliant exchanges in the whole film is when he sincerely says "you're welcome" when she sarcastically says "thanks for that I guess." It really shows how he unironically thought he did her a favor by not fucking everything he saw.
  • This scene was so masterfully delivered. It's so relatable, and both Driver and Johansson were at their best here.

" Oh.. I wasn't recording it guys, can you do that again?"
  • @oscarin13
In order to prepare for this role, Driver and Johansson got married and then got divorced.

That she consoles him at the end both breaks and melts my heart ❤️

2:55 the way he keeps staring makes it seem like that wall punch wasn’t even in the script and he’s shocked at himself

When he starts crying after he realized what he just said gives me chills...that feeling of rage then guilt

Imagine loving so much that you two end up hating each other.....this scene right here. This movie should have every award it was nominated for
