This was my mom's favorite song! In this word of troubles where things can cause so much pain--adult kids not going the way they were raised and so many other things---this was her song. God took her home gently at the age of 90. she had served Him faithfully all her life!!! Dad followed 4 + months later after 73 years later at age 94. They left a wonderful legacy of Christian stones to follow. I am now 61 and have been chronically ill for 36 years-I am 61 now--with adult kids. I often look at mom's picture and just nod my head and giveit all to God.

Some 30 years ago I was in a car accident and broke my back. I can still remember like it was yesterday as I lay unconscious in the hospital bed, the doctors saying I would never walk again. I wanted to jump up and scream at them that I was not crippled. Two years later, a physical therapist helped me walk again, somewhat unsteadily, but I abandoned my wheelchair. I was unable to work yet, I was miserable to my wife and teenage children. I can only thank God that they put up with me and lived through it. About the only thing I did that made my wife happy was I went to church. I didn't listen to the sermons or the music but I went. Then in one evening service I heard the verse BECAUSE HE LIVES, and then the next verse seemed to scream out at me, I CAN FACE TOMORROW. That was the beginning of me changing my attitude. Now, my wife and I celebrated our 51st anniversary this last spring and I have married children and two teenage grandchildren.

Imagine how beautiful heaven will be when we can all worship together...forever.

In a believer's life Jesus Christ is the strength and stay in the day to day struggles to overcome all kinds of evil and lead a victorious life for His Glory. One has to experience that and enjoy life which is free. Praise the LORD He is alive and cares for us always.

Jesus is the truth and everyone encounters Him will discover their real truth, their real identity and not walking in the dark any more. Praise and glory be to our great God.

This has to be such a joy to hear a congregation so diverse singing a song he and Gloria wrote so long ago!! It blesses my heart EVERY time I hear it…and always when I need it most. Thank You, Lord Jesus! And thank you, Bill and Gloria and team!!

We sang this song at my husband's funeral yesterday..... It has been one of our favourite songs throughout our lives.... Thank you Bill and Gloria Gaither for blessing our lives with this song.... I have sung it many times when I have faced difficult situations in my life!, 🙌
