It’s hard to forgive yourself and it’s hard to trust and build your relationship with God. I first listened to this song when I was in a bad mental state. This song really helped me find who I was and it helped me through a hard time. I love David and I’ll never forget him for creating a song that helped me. His voice is amazing and he’s really cute! ❤️

I love how David is speaking about the actual struggles of trying to build a relationship with God yk . It’s rare to find a Christian song that dives so deeply into the dark side . I’m glad he made this song , showing that everything isn’t sunshine and rainbows and how people make mistakes , which is okay . I absolutely love this. Being a Christian and building a relationship with God is HARD, and that's something that's often overlooked. And we are going to make mistakes, and have to ask for forgiveness. I'm so happy that he addresses this stuff in his song.

I’m a proffessional singer, (though I wish I was better at writing music like him) and I just have to say it’s so refreshing to hear such a soulful, richly toned baritone voice especially from someone around my age. (I’m 18, going into college) most of the time young singers such as myself and others aren’t exposed to many “soulful” singers just because we were raised with a very pop like sound, but with your range, and your control, you ABSOLUTELY fit that dark deep tone perfectly, and not many people can pull that off. Hats off to you my guy. I could listen to your voice all day

I love that this song is about the inner conflict within the same person.. people know me as the nicest person ever,,, while in fact I am just a people pleaser and I hate myself for that. everyday I ask myself when am I gonna stop?.. When will I put myself first? but then, I've been distant from God so I convinced myself that this is my punishment! "Can you spare any mercy that you might find" is the line I relate to the most.

My daughters dad has just passed away from years of alcohol abuse. He was just 50. last week we held his funeral and played this song at the closing of his service. Powerful stuff

I'm personally not a religious person in the slightest so I've interpreted this song very differently. That's something I think is really beautiful about music. It really means something different to everyone. I don't know much about this artist but his voice is breathtaking and this song is absolutely beautiful and so fun to play
