In the United States, in the 1960s and 1970s aluminum was used in home wiring for cheapness' sake. Later there were a lot of problem with oxidation and loosening of connectors due to significant expansion/contraction. Afterward, the US went back to copper wire. Using aluminum wire indicates that the manufacturer does not intent the vehicle to last a long time.

Europe should not allow these vehicles to enter the European market. Cars that loose suspension or batteries that catch on fire on a highway are very dangerous to other vehicles on the road

It was discovered that the aluminum wire, while the lighter Then copper wire. was so much more brittle, particularly where the connections were made and the aluminum wire cut. to make the conductions, that the wiring was deemed too big of a fire hazard to be used. in these units.. Keep in mind that the units left the factory., were transported down the freeway, and ended their journey at the final site where they were installed. to be permanent homes.
