Vintage Piggy Bank Came Across my Desk! What is More Valuable, the Piggy, or the Bank?

Publicado 2024-06-30
A Piggy Bank came across my desk this week. Lets take a look and see what it was hiding. Wheat pennies look out!

The value of the Piggy Bank itself was $175

The number of the pennies inside were 15,330!

Hey Dancer, just browsing your videos. I don’t have many sovereign coins that I would consider “ wanted or in demand “ collectables . I do have a lot of the Silver Shield, proofs, BU’s and coppers of the mini mintage series.

At a guess and if the thumbnail picture is of the content (all pennies). Without any extra good finds I would say about $25.00 face value. Now that is the top three tubs of coins that look like all pennies. If it is all those tubs, I find it hard to believe it fit in that piggybank all at once. If there was nothing but pennies, and no great ones found the bank may well be worth much more than the content. The scrap value of the copper could be more than face value if all wheatbacks.

There are many. By chance, I would say 6837 cents

It appears to me that you have exactly 3,278 one-cent coins there, give or take 10 or so. 🤔 I honestly didn’t see a single penny because the United States Mint, in its entire history, has never made one ! 😲😳😬 🤣😂🤣

Is “bullshit” one word or two in other words there’s no way in hell all those came out of one piggy bank
