Thanks for watching! Anyone here has done the keratin treatment yet? 😫 Anything I need to know guys? Thanks in advance for the tips!

That is a great idea using the Hairliscious method. I do it every time i relax my hair. You should ask your stylist if she would try it.

I think u should relax your hair every 3 months as your hair gets thicker. I kinda got worried when your stylist was “struggling” with detangling your hair AFTER it got relaxed. I don’t think that should happen (in my opinion and by experience.) I always followed hairlicous methods since my “healthy” relaxed hair journey last July. I use affirm relaxer and it’s been my staple. it makes me feel “safe” because it’s a step by step by step guide and it’s a moisturize based system too. (My hair is naturally dry) Then I use ORS orange replenishing conditioner because it has a little bit of protein in it and lots of moisture — I sit under the dryer for about 25 minutes then wash I use a scalp treatment on my hair before my stylist uses my heat protectant and puts rollers in my hair and then I’m done. I just take care of it after before my next wash. As for the protein treatment, I come back to the salon after two weeks and use my 2 minute aphogee and then deep condition and wash with Keracare products. Overall hair feels amazing every time I have relaxer day and in general wash days, thanks to hairlicious hair regimen. I also just started using olaplex 3 after following the last step of the affirm system too. I make sure to trim every 2 or 2 and a half months I just wanted to share my experience with you ❤ please don’t take it too personally! 🤞🏾

I think it's really smart to do horizontal and then vertical. Ref keratin, I get what's called a quick keratin, which just means it washes out faster than a regular keratin treatment. My stylist recommended it because I was getting the olaplex service, and she said the quick keratin had the same benefits plus more. So far, I really love it. I haven't had to do dedicated protein treatments since, and it also makes my semi permanent hair color last longer. Your hair looks so good, Cassy. You're doing a great job. When I self relaxed, I used the hairlicious method, and it worked well. The only issue I had was that I had to be careful of where I started my twist because sometimes I would start to far up, and it resulted in some sections not getting completely relaxed. 💜

YES, YES I love my keratin treatment been getting them for 10 years and my hair has done better with it than perms
  • @paulinetaylor629
Hiiii, yes you can try the pre parting method. You should base your scalp whether you are using a lye relaxer or not. Affirm is pretty good option as well as ORS. My stylist would usually apply the relaxer horizontally then go back in vertically. I hope you find something that works for you😊

Thank you for sharing, hair turned out looking amazing. Your hair is so much and in such great health,I’m afraid if you’d to do it yourself🙆🏽‍♀️ Although I think you would do a great job. I worry of a set back. I have to agree with the previous comment, it worries me that the hair got tangled or matted after a relaxer … I’m also very new to this, and I have been doing my hair little over a year. I’m still learning how to take good care of my hair, hasn’t been easy at all.. but I have not experienced tangled or burnt yet on relaxer day, thank goodness. I also pre parted always. I do use affirm relaxer as well. I trust you will come up with a good solution to this. Again thank you for sharing ❤ I always learn so much from you! You got this 💗

Keratin treatment is a good option. It can help you stretch relaxers
  • @AliceOnuh
Hairlicious method has been very helpful, i haven't tried the keratin treatment but someone that did it she had a lot of hair breakage and ended up cutting her hair, the result is beautiful 😍❤️
  • You might have the best relaxed hair on YouTube ❤😊! Looks beautiful!!!!

Hey Cassy girl!! Oh wow, wow, wow. Your hair tho. So thick! So thick that it’s getting more difficult to manage on your relaxer days!! I’m so sorry to hear that. I only wish the best for you because you take such great care of your hair. But I guess that’s a good problem tho, cuz that means your hair is THRIVING! You got the thick hair on lock! Not to mention the length. I’m sorry that you are feeling like you don’t know what to do with your hair right now. I’m sorry that you feel like you don’t want to bother the stylist with more requests like the pre parting. And I’m SO sorry that the relaxer had to be in for that long! It came out so beautifully regardless! You are a champ for using minimal heat on relaxer day!! 😂 I’m over here doing the exact opposite! It might take a long time but your hair always looks so amazing and healthy. I think that you should just keep doing what you do cuz you got it going on. Maybe not stretch so long? That’s the only thing I would suggest. Then maybe the new growth won’t be so hard to get trough. Definitely the Hairlicious method if you decide to do it on your own. I did great with that when I did it myself. I also had my sister to help too, but I was able to do it on my own when she wasn’t around as well. And about that Keratin treatment…girl…to me…personally…nothing beats a fresh relaxer 😂 Maybe in the long run I might change my mind but I feel you on not using so much heat. You already don’t even flat iron your hair at the salon so that would be a MAJOR change for you. I feel like if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it. You got GORGEOUS THICK LONG relaxed hair. I love it so much!! But whatever you decide to do, I’m along for the ride!! Love you girl!! 💕Dani x Naturally Relaxed

Do not go to Keratin treatment. It dried out my hair and I had breakage. I think it gave me protein overload and I experienced a set back. It takes about 3 months to wear off with hair washes.
  • @lynEE4477
If relaxers are working for you then why switch to a keratin. Keratin can be very harsh on coarse hair.
