LIVE! Make a Wire Wrap Ring! Tutorial, REPLAY

Published 2024-06-12
Hi friends! This is another one of those impromptu Livestream tutorials! I am about to relocate my life and studio 2000 miles, so I'm short on video time, but these livestreams are a great way to jump on here when I have a new inspiration! I just made up this one wire ring, so let's see how it goes!

This is Polly Sophia Ring! I am playing on the words, Poly Sophia, my loose translation as
"many wisdoms" or "many abilities" ... this ring can be and become many things from one technique as well as one wire. Have fun!

I am using ...
26 inches of 20 gauge, round, soft copper wire
8mm round, cabochon stone.
The completed ring is a size 6

Add wire to the start if your size is larger or if your stone is a bit larger.

  • Hi friends! This is another one of those impromptu Livestreams! I am about to relocate my life and studio 2000 miles, so I'm short on video time, but these livestreams are a great way to jump on here when I have a new inspiration! I just made this up, let's see how it goes! The wire is 26 inches of 20g, round, soft wire for an 8mm, round cabochon stone. This makes a size 6 ring. If you are making a bigger size, give a couple more inches. This is a nice ONE WIRE challenge :) And I show some surprises at the end with what else you can create using this technique. I hope it gives you inspiration for new rings and new ring techniques! Much love!! Enjoy! Please remember to subscribe, like, and share if you enjoyed this video. Thank you again!

Wow!🤩 when you split the bands it was like magic! Ok so I’m easily amused but that was awesome! I’m going to make one today.
  • Q... Why did you name this ring Polly Sophia? A....I am playing on the words, Poly Sophia, my loose translation as "many wisdoms" or "many abilities" ... this ring can be and become many things from one technique as well as one wire. Have fun! Polly is the first smaller ring shank... Sophia is the second larger shank. I am using ... 26 inches of 20 gauge, round, soft copper wire 8mm round, cabochon stone. The completed ring is a size 6

Susan, before I forget to ask you, your tabletop bench vise?? Where did you find it? Or the name of it? It’s seems very lightweight and convenient size?? Loving the impromptu live streams , just hop on whenever you are feeling like sharing!!!!
