The elbows tucked back and arms closer is the tip I needed. Thanks, that'll be a game changer for me
  • @DimoDimov1
Can we appreciate how he was able to do a whole presentation while actually skipping and not messing up. It made me think his natural state is skipping and he just stands still from time to time to rest
  • @Josh-bp1km
60 seconds without messing up is a helluva tip. The 1 minute round is highly underrated. Great vid 🥊
  • @dansbike1
You can tell that his cardio is quite good, because he is able to continue talking conversationally.
  • Here are some helpful tips I can share for newbies to skipping. 1: Use a beaded rope when you first start skipping. You'll be able to sense the rope around you better. It's not necessary to buy expensive ropes. A 10-15 dollars rope is just fine. 2: Measure your rope and cut to the proper length. It's easy to do. Just hold on to the handles with one hand and step on rope and measure up to your arm pits or nipple. As you get better, you can shorten your rope. The biggest mistake newbies make is jumping with too long a rope. You'll end up tripping a lot. 3: Point the handles forward, not to the sides, and flick your wrist. This puts your hands in a more natural position and allows for longer jumping with less fatigue. 4:When buying vinyl ropes (aka: licorice ropes), make sure to get between a 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm. They hold their shape better and don't wobble as much. Anything thinner will be difficult to handle. 5: You only need to jump only as high as necessary to clear the rope. Which means an inch or two off the floor or a foot off the floor for double or triple unders. That's it. And jump off your toes and ball of your foot land on your toes. And never jump on concrete unless you have a jumping pad. Wood or cork floors are the best, and your knees will thank you. 6: Relax and have fun with it. It's easy to learn but hard to master.
