When I was a kid I had nightmares of Mr Blobby running up to my bunk bed and having maggots pour out his eye holes and just breathing above me, none of his horrific noises, just breathing.... to say I had many terrible sleeps as a kid was an understatement

Knowing Mr Blobby started off as a parody of mascot characters makes a lot of his design make more sense.

The thing about Mr. Blobby that people who didn't grow up in the 90s don't always realize is that he's intentionally cursed. He was designed as a cursed parody of a character for children rather than being for children himself. Of course, all us kids loved him anyway for some fucking reason. I had a Mr. Blobby pencil topper.

I have a friend who is obsessed with Kumamon, a Japanese mascot character known for causing mischief. Mr. Blobby is like the British Kumamon of the 90s. You know, The Banana Splits was a popular variety show from the 60s, but the characters were repurposed as a horror movie in 2019. They should do the same for Mr. Blobby.

Blobby got locked out of the building in the puppet Master Chef skit in this year's Children in Need so it's safe to assume that everybody STILL hates Mr Blobby.

fun fact: Mr Blobby’s front facing eyes heavily imply that his species are predators. this could mean that this horrific hellspawn could be above us on the food chain

ine of my favorite memories of my dqad was him dressing up as blobby for a kids christmas party. a kid ran up to him and punched him square in the groin. Dad collapsed on to one of the pub benches. But bless that man he stayed in character and instead of swearing let out a pained ''blobby'' sound. Dads been gone 11 years and it still makes me laugh now
