Cold tent winter camping during a snow storm in the northern wilderness. The forecast said 25m/s or 56mph winds. I choose snow shoes again since it makes filming easier than if I was using skis.
I walked out into the forest in a break in the storm and set up camp, getting ready for the heavy snowstorm that was coming in through the night. It turned into a massive storm but I had found a sheltered place for my camp in the trees. I also built a snow wall to shelter behind for the eastern winds. Quite an interesting trip that ended in a mixture between rain and sleet.
Gear list for this trip is towards the end of the video.
About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under "For business inquiries", for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

I'm watching this instead of any form of NEWS !!

No background music. No ideal chit chat. Just the important stuff and the sound of the storm outside. Really enjoy these.

Thank you for your fantastic video. I have never seen such an intense storm, cold, snow, wildness, video. Also great for sleeping! Please don't get me wrong, it's not boring at all, quite the opposite, but I can sleep very well with such nice wind noise. How great you captured the fast-flying snowflakes with the camera. Thank you also for your greetings to your German friends. A big thank you and a greeting from me going back from Germany to Norway.

I love listening to that wind and the snow hitting the tent.

Yes I can heat the wind. Sounds ferocious. I’ll say it again you are so calm and I’m glad because that’s how you stay alive. ❤

There is an element of timelessness to your wilderness winter expeditions, NX. One can imagine similar conditions were experienced by the now-famous Otzi in that mountain pass in the Alps circa 3500 BC! You chose your tentsite very wisely, and I am impressed by the amount of preparations you made. You take nothing for granted. I really enjoyed this post, as I do all of them, and I'm thankful you take the time and effort to share them with your viewers/subscribers. As always, great content, production and presentation. Cheers!

I really enjoyed this video and enjoyed the sounds of the storm in your tent. The music you compose to these videos are excellent and capture the scene very well. I watch a lot of your videos at night time to help me feel relaxed in a calm manner to go to sleep. Watching from the UK 🇬🇧 Best regards Matthew👍
