As per Editors Note btw Emi actually started playing this game THE MOMENT she stopped recording! Some of the vid asks for spoilers but please be vague now that she's actually playing it :_bibilove::_bibilove::_bibilove:

No spoilers: nothing can prepare you for the final boss, especially if you never played Kirby. I will not provide any context what I mean by that.
  • "I've never played any kirby" the moment you know this video is going to be good

Emily listening to Roar of Dedede: “This is WILD” Me: YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW ACCURATE THAT IS
  • @GarlyleWilds
What, no final boss track? Well, that's fair, it's like eight minutes before it loops lol. I hope Emily enjoys the game! Forgotten Land is one of the series' most amazing entries, and one of the best games of last year easily.
  • It’s tradition for Dedede and Meta Knight to have absolutely amazing themes
  • @runedoom
Dedede is pronounced as ddd. He's kirby's rival, and a penguin.

Kirby music goes SO HARD, you should TOTALLY listen to more songs from Kirby. I HIGHLY recommend that you listen to the themes of some of the Final Boss fights like "Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit" (from Forgotten Land), "C-R-O-W-N-E-D" (from Return to Dreamland), "Moonstruck Blossom" (from Triple Deluxe), "VS. Star Dream" (from Planet Robobot), and the full suite "The Star Conquering Traveler" (from Star Allies), which is my favorite in the series (even if it is a bit long). Either "Factory Inspection" (from The Crystal Shards) or "Burning Churning Power Plant" (from Forgotten Land) are also really good.

They did not have to incorporate “Friends and the setting Sun” into “Sword of the Surviving Guardian” But I’m so glad
  • @DaNintendude
Sword of the Surviving Guardian gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME The song is a remix of a classic Kirby Super Star theme -- My friends and the Setting Sun. The melody isn't exactly the same as the original, but you can obviously tell it's a variation on it. And then building up to the end, you have it build up and up and up and up and up. And then FINALLY it hits that point where most of the instruments cut out and they play the original melody, unaltered. And man the pay-off is so incredibly good that it literally made me choke up the first few times I heard it.
  • Yay, I was hoping for this! A trip to the Kirby Wiki tells me that Welcome to the New World's lyrics were written in Japanese originally, but the song itself is sung in the game's made-up language. But it looks like it's phonetically based off Japanese, so it sounds very similar (it's basically Japanese gibberish that's arranged to look like a totally different language)
  • God, I forgot how absolutely amazing the Kirby and The Forgotten Land OST was. It is just filled with bangers. Taking advantage of the cutesy first impression it gives and then surprising you with something crazy is Kirby's specialty after all. Also as I commented on the Undertale video, my OST recommendation is Pizza Tower, which is not as cutesy but definitely takes people by surprise.

I’ve been so excited for you to react to Kirby and I am certainly not disappointed with your reaction On a side note, the vocals of roar of dedede is from dedede’s voice actor in forgotten land
  • @BobzBlue
Did you seriously not listen to the final boss theme? It is the quintessential "Why is this in a kirby game!" theme.
  • @83Protons
The Invincible Candy is an item that has appeared in most (if not all) main line Kirby games so this tune is somewhat iconic among fans. And also definately worth remembering for later 😉
  • If you're going to react to songs from other Kirby games, I highly recommend Vs. Marx, C-R-O-W-N-E-D, 02 Battle, and Fatal Blooms in Moonlight, though you really can't go wrong with Kirby music.
  • Now that you’ve played this game, I’m sure you already know how incredible the rest of this OST is. :) Kirby games never disappoint.
