A good counter for catalyst is Fuse because reinforced doors get destroyed instantly by nades and knuckle clusters. As well fuse's Ult goes over the wall if you Line it up right. As well extra tip for catalyst, if you can place her ult diagonally because it starts at your position so is further back when diagonal and is good for both sides being blocked. It might also catch some players by surprise

I’m really loving Catalyst’s play style but one thing that really annoys me is the ultimate. I think you need to be able to change the way the ult is going to go. Like press it once to do it long ways and press again to make it landscape.

Another tip ive learned: The tac does NOT bounce off walls, it just limply falls, so if in close quarters on in a building or off angling someone next to a piece of collision, u can aim at the wall, tree, ledge, etc and it should just fall right below whatever piece of collision hit, getting a more consistent bit of damage off since the casting can be a bit finicky.

Catalyst became my second main after Season 8's legend Fusey 👀. I only play with fun legends and Catalyst is SO fun to play with. You feel like Venom.

I think veil should block all visual ques like damage taken scans, etc when view is blocked by it, but scan should still mark enemies to a the player or teammates who has clear sight of what's on the other side of the veil.

The catalyst door play potential seems super fun, but the rest of the kit is mostly sub. Being able to use her tac as a dual wield ability (bang smokes and rev ballz) is very useful 1v1, but because catalyst is everywhere rn it seems less reliable. Similar to caustic drop way back in the day, but not nearly as strong as caustic dropped.

6th match in and already dropped a 2k game, playing aggressive with her abilities is fantastic. Those who main Wattson and Rampart will love her 😊

I don't know if this was said already but, if you throw your tactical down, you can pick it back up and use it right away as long as it was never activated.
