Barrels chained to Gaza protesters filled with concrete and rebar used to impede law enforcement

Published 2024-04-15
Protests on both the Golden Gate Bridge and Oakland's I-880 led to major traffic jams. Demonstrators disrupted the flow by chaining themselves to concrete-filled barrels, bringing vehicles to a complete stop for about four hours on the Golden Gate Bridge. The California Highway Patrol reported on the day's events, and a protester declared their intention to continue demonstrating until their demands are acknowledged.

I find it pretty ironic seeing LGBTQ supporting Hamas, lol.

The best part is that none of the protesters are Palestinians. Professional anarchist.

When this happened years ago in Boston it was totally unhelpful for the issue. The regular folks will not tolerate this level of disruption on any single issue.

The total disregard for regular people just trying to get to work is disgusting.
  • Can one of you investigators follow the money here. Find out who is paying for this.
  • It should be a felony to disrupt traffic while protesting but CA politicians don't have the guts to do that.

It's such a fine line between "peaceful protests" and "domestic terrorism."

What a pathetic group of whiners needing something to do on a Monday , impeding those who actually produce and work for a living .

Shame on you, acting like like two year olds who don't get their way. Grow up and act like adults.
  • @ELXABER
That's all it takes to make your police impotent? A little concrete and some rebar? How pathetic.

It's San Francisco, this is what they vote for. No sympathy here
  • Not smart to protest on a bridge...bad things could happen. Also not smart to sit in front of moving cars. Maybe someone should demonstrate why these places aren't the best places to spread your message?
