I think the reason why indie games are thriving while AAA is declining is because it's much more feasible now to design, develop and publish your own games without having to work in a AAA company. All of the highly gifted and creative individuals have no reason at all to work at EA or Ubisoft because they could just make their own game by themselves. AAA companies have ran out of talent to hire and have to go with the mediocre ones, thus making mediocre games.

The "shanked by an Englishman" comment seems a bit mean-spirited as someone from the UK who agrees with pretty much everything you said in the video, lol, but YouTube hates us anyway so it's fine. Apart from that, I pretty much agree, and the recent State of Play proves how embarrassingly bad the situation is right now with gaming. P.s. Stellar Blade is amazing, expensive sure, but amazing.
