In Split cup due to the divisions in the actual cup the colors mix only when you start pouring, however by using my technique here you can achieve the same result without the divisions and without having to buy and actual split cup.

In my opinion if you compare the final result which I got by using this simple technique with the final result of and actual split cup pour, it will be hard to tell where an actual split cup was used.

Amsterdam Acrylic Paints
Warm Grey
Vandyke Brown
Permanent Red Violet
Ultramarine Violet LT
Venetian Rose
Greyish Blue
Naples Yellow Red LT

I used Pebeo Studio Acrylics pouring medium and Paints with a ratio of 1:4 (paint : medium).

If you want to know how I mix my pains and what ratio I use for pouring medium, check out my video here:

The most beautiful pour I've ever seen, and I've seen TONS. Outstanding.
  • Helen you have achieved such unique effects here, so interesting. I really like how the pink looks satin and the brown mix looks like a golden tapestry.

I love the natural canvas look and both paintings are really interesting, but I have to say the second pour is my favourite , although at first sight I didn’t think it would be. Thanks again for your really unique methods. 🙏🙏🤗🇬🇧
