I'm beginning to realise that being a sniper is like 95% mathematics and 5% shooting
-
Bruh when he did the quick math, I was like, “I’m a failure.”
-
33 kills and didn't even use his nuke killstreak, this man has class.
-
“It was essentially like playing volleyball with bullets”… his analogy for one of the most intense and scary situations a person could be in is insane
-
Sniping in Video Games: beng beng Sniping in real life: Physics class
-
I could never be a sniper. By the time I'm done with the math, the enemies would have been long gone.
-
This guy is actually so cool. The way he explains the methods and the tools used makes it easy to understand. Also the way he did that math so fast was beyond impressive.
-
The most amazing sniper operation I ever heard of was shown in "Captain Phillips". I still can't believe it was possible. 3 SEAL snipers on the fantail of a ship (moving in the waves) zeroing in on three targets they could only see by infrared, in a little, bobbing lifeboat, and they all fire together and eliminate all three targets.

Me: wow this scene looks so realistic Him: this is completely unrealistic Me: this is completely unrealistic
-
Him: so unrealistic Cod player: that’s what I’m saying the guy is literally hard scoping
-
The other scary thing he forgot to mention with saving private ryan is the fact that in order for a scope shot to work, the enemy sniper has to be dialed in on you perfectly too. It has been recorded on happening, once and only once. That means you both are staring at each other and you pulled the trigger first. You would have literally been a fraction of a second from death.
-
What really impressed me was the tremendous attention to detail that snipers have to have
-
"Johnson! I didn't see you at camouflage training today!" "Thank you, sir."
-
So a sniper is basically a math genius who’s a good shot
-
I never realized how much math is used when sniper shots are fired. I always thought it was “see a target, shoot the target”. This was incredibly interesting. This dude is a real walking legend
-
This was very well explained and I love how fair he was in his ratings. He wasn't overly critical of the entertainment factor.
-
Snipers are just Deadly Mathematicians.
-
They should do one with a politician breaking down dirty politicians in movies.
-
I like how he explains that it's completely impossible to shoot the gun out of someone's hand at such a far range but still thinks it's a five out of 10 but then as soon as he sees a black scope and a white snowy field he gives it a two
-
I love how he broke down the one-mile shot and just rolled his eyes when talking about all the factors, like rotation of the planet, wind (here, there, in between here and there), humidity, elevation, drop. You could take the same shot from a machine, and three bullets would land fifty feet from each other. But, it's Hollywood, and of course it might have happened with a ton of luck.
