I love how even Kevin's crimes are factored into this, not even the protagonist is spared from the law now

I absolutely love how he just adds even the smallest fines like 50c.
  • I can imagine Kevin and his parents in court. "So firstly, we're going to let you off with a warning for shoplifting and a small fine of $5" "See mom? Everything is going to be fine" "You are also being sued for 5 million dollars"

Finally someone that notices the fact that Harry's hand is still scarred in the second movie

considering ALL THE STUFF that Kevin did to Harry and Marv.... I'm surprised their reaction to seeing him was "LETS GET HIM" and not "OH GOD NOT HIM!"

Due to the water damage caused by Marv it's technically possible that deadly black mold could have formed in the houses they robbed. Albeit, black mold is rare, but it's very deadly.
  • Kevin: is the protagonist Also Kevin: has his family pay 5 million dollars for a lawsuit
  • Marv could actually be given multiple charges of vandalism for the flooding of multiple houses as Harry said “You did it again didn’t you?”. Hinting he has done it before
  • Question: How on God’s Green Earth are Harry and Marv still alive? (Edit: Wow! So many answers. And I don’t know which one to agree with.)

The last thing I ever expected was to see a kid be fined 5 million dollars on this channel.

I feel like it would take a while for Harry and Marv to sue the McCallisters because they still have to serve their time in prison.

People forget that kevin calls the police in the first movie under a different name and using the address of his neighbors. He knew he they weren't gonna let his death traps slide and he intentionally took measures to avoid it. Same reason he never tells his parents. This goes for both movies, the second in particular he definitely couldve called the police as an anonymous tip but instead decidedly led Harry and Marv away from the site of the burglary, using their photographs to lure them through an even deadlier house than before. Kid has the makings of a serial killer.
  • Okay so the fire on the head would not cause brain damage. It would cause potential nerve damage and damage to the skull. The surgery that would be conducted would require medical surgeons to remove his scalp since the material of the toboggan would have melted into the skin. They would then have to graft on new skin and probably a hair transplant if harry decided he wanted his hair back (even though he never had any to begin with). But yes Harry and Marv would have suffered severe brain damage and just by that alone are completely in their right to sue the McCalastar family for numerous and incredibly severe injuries that would most definitely and permanently impede their ability to live a normal life. They would most likely have to register for assisted living and always be monitored by a nurse. Kevin would most definitely be charged and even if he is a minor perhaps receive some form of jail time (not actual juvenile jail since he’s so young but probably house arrest since Harry and Marva’s injures are more than proof that Kevin is a danger to society). He would also probably be forcibly committed to therapy. The parents would also be investigated for child neglect and abuse since the only way Kevin could have learned to do these things is from his parents. Last but not least, the old man from the first movie should have received recognition and a possible reward for rescuing Kevin and being a good neighbor for shoveling the sidewalks every Christmas.

I'm sure the police would have been fine with Kevin stealing a single toothbrush if they looked into it. It's not like he stole something notably expensive, and Kevin didn't intentionally steal it. He was just scared of his Neighbour which activated his fight or flight response, which children are known to have a harder time controlling their fear responses. Evading a police officer also might've been waved for the same reason.

Marv actually committed petty theft a few more times. While Harry and Marv are going skating thinking where they should steal from, Marv takes peoples' hats and scarfs.

Case 4 and 5: Kevin's parents. Crimes: Child negligence. Punishment: Some fines and parental classes.

Well, the traps were done by a kid who might have gotten them from a cartoon. He could easily say that he did not understand how lethal his traps were and the court would side with him. Making the lawsuit pointless to try.

I WANTED THIS SO BADLY! Looks like I get another late Christmas gift!
