I am old guy from the UK, when I'm feeling down about the way the world is going, I listen to Christopher Hitchens and I feel that there is still hope for rationality and reason.
-
More than a decade after his death, we are still here admiring the intellect of this man.
-
Listening to him allows me to retain the brain cells that I could otherwise be losing by listening to the current state of politics and arguments
-
I once heard him say off the cuff "I'm not going to attempt to outbid you in an auction of ethnic self pity" how can you possibly argue with a man so eloquent
-
What a tragic loss to the world, Christopher Hitchins - a towering intellect and a man of principle
-
My absolute hero. Never a man with more style, intellect, wit and courage.
-
There should be a 24 hour Hitchens’ channel on public television. I miss this great man. What upsets me is that you never hear this stuff in the news.
-
My English language skills have improved after reading and especially listening to Christopher Hitchens.
-
I remember when Christopher was on an Australian panel show and he was asked a question. Every time he started to answer it, his questioner interrupted him. Time and again he just politely stopped talking while he was being interrupted. Finally he said dryly "I'll get this answer out if it kills you".

After discovering Christopher on Youtube he has become my unequivocal hero / idol and inspiration above anyone else. I've now consumed a good portion of his literature and video's. Its helped clear my thinking and raised my modest intellect through more awareness and flair of the english language. The impact on my life is profound

As an iranian i am amazed how accurately he predicted the future of iran, etc... i wish he was alive to see his words come true

Few are men who are geniuses in books and in life. Hitchens is one of the few.
-
Not just because I'm an Atheist, that I enjoy listening to Hitchens, but also because of his insight and perspective on worlds politics.
-
Always a pleasure to find a new Hitchens video.
-
He’s still one of my intellectual heroes. What a mind. [sigh]
-
Such a tragedy he isn't here for 2020. His quick wit and intellect are more needed now than ever.
-
The only man i have never met that i will truly miss...
-
I could listen to this man for hours on end on damn near every subject
-
I love listening to him talk. He is so logical, and nobody can communicate their thoughts like Christopher Hitchens. He is an unequalled intellectual of our times. It's hard to believe he was dead in approximately two years from the date of this talk. I wish he could of lived at least another 20 years to see what is going on in America right now. His interpretation would be invaluable.

Guy was an intellectual giant. He will be missed.
