my dad used to braid my hair every morning for kindergarten, then eventually also for the first years of school. it didn't look the best, but I didn't care, I loved it and it meant so much to me that he took the time out of his mornings to do so. he also would make my lunch every day, for school, it was just two pieces of toast usually with just a slice of ham on them, but he made it every day and I let him continue doing it till I was out of high school. these sort of small things parents do are so valuable and meaningful, you might think your kids don't notice or care, but they absolutely do.

Anthony looks great. The girl's hair is beautiful and at her age she probably loves that amount of decoration. Simba looks great too. I never had a dog that needed a haircut but agree with others about a professional groomer for safety and better knowledge. Groomers sometimes also do other things that may be necessary or can spot problems. At the end I nearly had tears. You achieved your goal of special time with your children. I applaud Anthony for respecting you and being a good sport in trusting you to this task.. .and of course he finds you worthy of respect.
