After buying super fakes for a test drive and then getting into exclusively buying authentics, I can tell you most people will never be able to tell the difference. Most don't even know the designer if it's a understated brand. Super fakes are not cheap either if you want quality imported leather, mirror copies, etc. they start in the 200 range and can go up into the 1k-2k range depending on what you're getting (bags, jewelry, shoes, etc). If you find a good artisan they can make you copies or even original designs. Canal street and similar street markets have barely passable fakes, most are overpriced for the low/mid range quality they are. I didn't get into fakes to create an "image", I just love fashion and designer pieces. Besides, mid-range and fast fashion brands "dupe" and rip luxury designers off every single season, so I don't view them as anything special or original. Dupes also almost always have inferior quality to the designer version, in a way it's like buying a fake in itself. And TONS of people buy them for the sole reason of "it looks like the designer" and "i wanna look trendy for the gram"..."iNfLuEnCeR ViBeS". Take Zara for example, how ethical do you really believe they are? Their factories? Their treatment of workers? The materials they use for their goods, is it all non-toxic? They churn out designer rip offs and charge exorbitant amounts of money for polyester at the end of the day. Shein anyone? 🫢🤮 They're probably one of the worst with their proven toxic & cancerous goods. As for the 'organized crime', canal street and other street markets probably fund those kinds of things but if you find a private artisan overseas they are just trying to feed their kids, not a gang lmao. There's a lot of scandal around authentic brands too fyi...the whole Balenciaga thing? Wtf was that? It's literally part of organized crime. 😡
  • I have replicas and authentic bags, one time one of my friends swear that my authentic gucci bag was fake saying I didn’t have the “means” to buy it, or that even if it was real ppl wouldn’t believe it, and then I had people complementing on my fake neverfull bag which was $100 dollars on dh gate 💀so at that point I’m like people are gonna believe whatever they want to believe choose whatever makes you happy cuz at the end of the day nobody really f cares ! 🤣🤣

What is the real thing? Are they not bags? Do they not hold things?
  • @artisttomeka
Unashamedly, yes I buy reps! I never cared what folks thought of how I spend MY money. Also I buy really nice undetectable reps…that’s the key

My aunt and uncle are very well off, like multiple 8 figure net worth. Uncle is a self-made commercial real estate investor and he owns multiple warehouse buildings in a tech-heavy area and has a few factories in the US and overseas for his old manufacturing business. Exported a fleet of Tesla Model X’s for his overseas team with the hefty tariffs that come along with it. Even then, my aunt exclusively owns replica handbags because they value that money to be put elsewhere, be it other investment opportunities or back into their existing businesses. Not all rich people value luxury goods the same way. My aunt and uncle didn’t come from money, so they value it more than just blowing tens of thousands on a brand name marketing. Edits: grammar
  • I don’t even wanna spend $40 at target on a bag. I can’t imagine spending several thousand dollars.
  • @RauppSchaeffler
Love:yt: preluxs :yt:the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other YouTuber can show off bags in as much detail as you.
  • I completely agree, I have bought both real and fake designer goods, but I often find it hard to blow $$$ when I know I could put it into my investments. I always think I deserve this new whatever it is, but I don’t I deserve financial freedom 🎉 love you by the way ❤

As someone who used to work in retail (specifically as a someone selling name brand bags), I realized you really don’t need to spend more than $50-$100 on a high quality bag. As a worker, some companies might give you over 50%-75% on a bag that can be priced up just because it has a brand name attached to it. As long as that bad fits your needs and you love the look, that should be it! Also supporting small businesses who make their own bags is also a plus, you don’t need to drop money on things that have a name attached to it!
  • I don’t buy purses, but I would cop that Krussy the Krab painting 👀 👀 where’d you get it??
  • @ayena2600
After Chanel ridiculously hiked up their price, I was done. No way a medium flap will cost over 9k. I started looking for other brands and watched several YouTube videos and did my own search. I was able to find a really great seller. Just ordered a Dior Bobby and could not tell the difference 😭 If I could return my authentic one, I would have already. Now I feel silly spending all that money on it 🤦🏽‍♀️
  • My college friend worked on Wall St. one summer. She spent her free time working on connections to get original quality bags! She was proudest of an ostrich leather mini. I believe it was LV.

Most people cannot tell a $20 bag from a $20,000 bag. Trust me! My $25 purse from Ross makes people think I’m rich and ???? enough to pay so much on a bag!
  • @rimun5235
I've never understood the fake bags thing because you could literally just buy a lower priced bag. People complaining about Chanel prices can easily find similar style bags for less, but they don't because at the end of the day, what they want is to pass a Chanel bag as real. I can't afford a Chanel bag but have a small boxy bag that I bought from a maker on etsy. It was a $100 leather bag. No one needs a fake. To me, it's the equivalent of would you have the same energy if someone stole your videos, art, etc and justified it with, well you already make money so what's the harm?
  • @valeriec3484
I really wanted a Chanel classic flap bag, when I finally had enough to buy one, they did a price increase, the sales people were incredibly rude to me, and they didn’t eve have one bag in stock in my area that I wanted. Also, I started watching some horror stories about how the Chanel bags just are made like they used to be, in a sense, Chanel is selling authentic counterfeit bags if you think about it! If they are using their own heritage and quality to sell a bag that is even cheaper! It’s terrible! 10,000 is a ton of money for a bag! I still wanted a Chanel bag, but I wanted the quality of it without the fear. So, I bought an expensive fake. I didn’t know then, about the criminal activity and possibility of child labor behind purchasing it at the time though.

kay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the :yt: preluxs :yt: book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
  • @EulaPeters
HEY :yt:yutulu:yt: !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day.
  • @GudrunJCasady
:yt:yutulu:yt: bag collection and subscribers have grown. And somehow she remained grounded, relatable, authentic. That’s why I’m still here
  • Love this! I haven’t dishes out thousands on a designer bag but I’ve come to realize I keep buying an affordable bag and let’s say after six months I need to spend again on another bag due to wear and tear. I turned 30 and I am going to make a sinking fun for a luxury bag! Wish me luck!

I bought a fake in nyc once. It just didnt sit well with me. It made me feel fake. Id rather buy a bag i like at a lower price point than a knockoff.
