  • Way to go Genesis. You just turned your best friend into Gaia's antichrist and gave him an Oedipus complex that could give Norman Bates a run for his money.
  • @Odrikah
I feel like, from Genesis's perspective, this is probably how it all went down in his head: Genesis: "Maybe if I tell Sephiroth the brutal truth about his origins, he will lose all loyalty to Shinra after seeing what they did to make him and help save my life so we can save the planet from Shinra together." Genesis: Tells Sephiroth the brutal truth about his origins Sephiroth: goes insane, kills everyone, does not help save Genesis's life, and dedicates himself to destroying the planet quicker and more efficiently than Shinra ever did Genesis: "...shit."
  • @Darth_Bateman
Oh wow….Sephiroth was actually a person with a heart that got broken and shattered into a billion pieces all while dealing with the existential terror that he was “special” in the sense that he’s a monster.

Zack: GENESIS NO ! stay quiet for 3 min Zack again: NO STOP !
  • Genesis: Attacks Sephiroth on his blind side. Calls him a monster. Verbally tortures him. Also Genesis: Please, old friend, I need you. Your cells could save my life. How to win friends and influence people - by Genesis
  • I love it that Sephiroth basically tells Genesis to go to Hell but with different words! He's such a beautiful character!
  • Yeah Genesis, go ahead and tell the only person who's having an existential crisis and on the verge of mental collapse, the horrid truth of his origin BEFORE asking him to help you get out of your degradation. Wow, who knew Genesis's thirst for melodrama would be his own undoing. Oh wait, WE all did.

Genesis thought that a Sephiroth who had lost faith in his humanity, who had devolved into a monster, would become his ally. He vastly underestimated Sephiroth’s ego. Even when his pride was shattered, it just took on a new form.

I feel that if Genesis would have approached him differently, then Sephiroth very well may have given him the cells he needed. But Gene being that beloved drama Llama I have come to adore, delivered the news the worst way.
  • @simbriant
Tell Sephiroth that he is a genetically engineered monster, then expect him to help you because you are both months. Smooth brain move, Genesis.
  • From scenes like this I feel like FF7 won't be complete until Sephiroth knows the truth about Lucrecia. The true villain of the saga has always been Hojo. He was behind every catharsis and was the real cause of all the pain of almost all the characters involved in the story. I have always felt that behind Sephiroth's actions and his madness was Jenova herself. That's why I think he deserves redemption and maybe close the story by dying to be reunited with his real mother in the lifestream. I think it would be a beautiful closure that would make us all cry and smile.

When Genesis says, ‘First class SOLDIER Sephiroth!’ Sephiroth sort of snaps to attention. It’s like he was yelled at like that when someone was chastising him or wanted to make sure they had his attention.

How It Should Have Gone Genesis: "-and there you have it. Your mother was actually a space alien that came from beyond the galaxy with the intent of conquering the entire planet and enslaving all of mankind, and you were born using her cells that a mad scientist injected into a human woman that an old vampire-looking dude in the basement of an old mansion had a crush on.." Sephiroth: "...What the f*** were you smoking before I came in here?!"
  • @broknight9718
I really love how Sephiroth just had enough of Genesis's bullcrap that he refuses and tells him to rot. Pretty much how we all feel with Genesis lol
  • Ah yes, the moment Sephiroth the hero dies and Sephiroth the villain is born.
  • @AndrewUchiha4747
He wasn’t a monster…. He was a good man with a good heart that only wanted a normal life… with a mom he never had…
  • @Sephiroth1992
it's so cruel. sephiroth was always there for his friends and was willing to fail the mission to save Angeal and Genesis. And Genesis? "You're a monster. you're mother is a monster and i want that you help me like you always did" I'm glad that sephiroth didn't help him. Sephiroth would help Genesis if he would be still a good friend. Sephiroth suffered and the Genesis didn't care. he wasn't there for him, when Sephiroth needed someone.
  • @engfer1267
Y’know the scene where Sephiroth starts holding his head?? I always thought he got some random headache, or that the scene was added to be dramatic or something. bUT ACTUALLY 😎 after suffering from a few myself, I can fully confirm that the man was probably at the verge of a panic attack. He was probably trying really, REALLY hard to keep himself together, especially after seeing the name “Jenova” on the wall entrance and then seeing literal monsters in the tank made by mako overdose. But holding your head, pulling your hairs, covering your mouth, losing your balance from light-headedness—all those things usually happen before an attack starts. And it’s really sad 🥲 poor baby bwoy

One of the worst people are those who use the truth to hurt others.. while sephiroth actions are his own.. it was Genesis who deliberately use the truth in the worst way Possible... he didn't even consider sephiroths mental stability or Feelings.. in a Sense it was Genesis's own selfish actions that destroyed the bond between Him, angeal and sephiroth.
