Alex, I've been enjoying your videos and you just earned yourself a new subscriber (Maltese living in the US here). You did remind me on how I used to get all heated up driving there, you were spot on on that (I did however witness much worse driving in a couple other European cities).
  • Thank you very much for producing this video. I am going to travel to Malta in December and i was a little unprepared. But now I know more and i will read your guide book :D

Very honest and personal advises that you are giving here, I really appreciate how non complacent you are about things. Thus us refreshing and really informative for us who have not visited the island yet.

Zurieq is like no life there. I stayed twice in Buggiba Saint Paul's Bay, (for me) the best place to live in Malta ☺️ I didn't have any problem to talk mixed english n arabic to Maltese people. I find them so kind n helpful ❤❤❤

Thank you Alex, I was fortunate enough to visit Malta last Oct/Nov at the end of the 'season' and it was beautiful and an amazing experience. So much so, that I have already booked another holiday to start the last week of April. Thank you for the valuable tips and of course all the other videos you've produced about Malta and how to get the best of of any visit, its appreciated!
  • I can't help but smile because I can relate to you so much about the driving in Malta part of your video. I also get heated up when talking about driving here as I also drive in Malta. It is somehow such a relief that it's not only me who feels this way about the drivers and pedestrians here, why they drive like that and when you think about it, the small stupid road accidents should not happen if they just follow the rules and give way to others when needed. 1-2 seconds to wait, stop can avoid these road accidents and traffic.
  • Maybe a bit beyond the scope of this video but I am Maltese and I can tell you that a lot of Maltese people complain about fireworks, particularly the extremely noisy (bombs) petard. I love the colourful night time ones, but something needs to be done regarding petards + we don't need launches at 8am. (Where I live they do an entire week of this, barely 300m away from my house) Traditions change and evolve over time (the same thing happened in Italy). So by all means, complain because a lot of us dislike the noisy bombs/petards, just because something is traditional does not mean it cannot be altered.

Great tips Alex! Use to drive in Malta but not any more , I’ll stick to the buses and taxis now as the roads are so much more busy now!

Wow, I am so impressed with your video presentation. I love the island as I have the priviledge and honour to have been born here. I'm in my 70th year and think of Malta as my home. I am so ashamed that I have never taken the time to learn the language but I know that you are spot on with your coments of not over doing it. My prefered place of residence, when i come, is Sleima and they are fantastic towards visitors. Your attitude toward the local people and the vistors is perfect. A priviledge to listened to your advise. I ca n only hope that visitors take note of your advise
