One thing to keep in mind in the new dark aether once you complete the contract zombies just keep coming so they could've been struggling to grab their rewards.

Hello my dude, I saw in your vid you were in a reward rift, and exited to swtich weapon to upgrade your scorcher with the reward. But you can switch weapons while in reward rift or when your backpack is open. it is faster
