IM the type where i can draw soemthing i see perfectly but have a bad imagination and i really wanna do tattoos and don’t know what to do
  • I am a artist who can draw anything and everything and even I found out early on it's more to it than just knowing how to draw and I respect that you put it out there.
  • @smolenbyy
My issue is that I can draw pretty well, I just struggle to transfer my art skills into a way that can make tattoo designs to be able to tattoo. This is so helpful thank you so much ❤
  • Starting tomorrow. Not good at drawing, but getting all the sketches down and I'm good at all that and not too bad at shading, just not a good free hand drawer

I just want to TY! Because I am just starting out tattooing. (Haven't done one yet). But I am really good with drawing graffiti, lettering, I have a really, really steady hand. And my shading is really good! . But as far as drawing certain things, and portraits. I am not that good at. But I truly believe I can be good at tattooing with stencils, tracing and doing the line work and shading. I just really appreciate you and your knowledge you are giving us. So TY sir!! Greatly appreciate it 🙏

So in short, if you can't draw, learn it by any means necessary. You need to draw and know how to draw, before getting into tattooing, there are no shortcuts. Even tracing is considered drawing and that's where you learn the basics. You just took 4 minutes to explain the fact that you need to learn how to draw if you can't draw, which is kinda logical and ironic at the same time, love the gist of it though.
  • As always great information. I’m surprised at how much you talk about actually applies to me.

2:07 when I started drawing I copied people’s drawing. I first started tracing and it help me with lines. Then I challenge myself to do drawing without tracing… it does help cause now I don’t have to copy people drawing. Now I look at a realistic picture and be creative with it. I never took art classes and I’m good at drawing it look perfect and real Soo I agree with him in that part if you don’t draw, start tracing and then push yourself to draw something without tracing when you feel like you ready
  • I have been pacing the hallways of your learnings and I've learned and retained a lot. I have even attached pen to machine. I have Equipment. I am prepared. I am a multi Facet Artist And I am ready to start. .... But I Cannot draw on paper with a pen.. I hit pause to type this and hopefully I still like you after this one.

And if I may ask, what wireless tattoo machine can I start off with? And a lime and shading machine that is skinny and not large in width? I have big hands but for lines and shading I would like to order a skinny wireless tattoo machine. If you can guide me in the right direction what to purchase. And what ink and needles I would need. Thanks man!

Its like saying you can’t be a guitarist without reading music. Ridiculous thing to think or tell people.
