  • Is it just me or was Dana calling Seth Zeth? Never heard the name Zeth before but it sounds futuristic.

I'm glad Pranksters got a mention; that's my favorite Seth sketch. :)

Came here for the Zeth comments and was not disappointed 😂

One of my favorite episodes. 👍🏻👍🏻

Dana says "So Zeth" because he's still voicing the "o" sound from "so" while saying the 's' of Seth. Voicing that first letter makes it Zeth. "So Seth" is a little tricky unless you're being really careful.

When I think of the funniest performers on SNL and late night TV, I don't always think of Seth Myers but I also don't know which sketches he wrote. With that said, I like the day drinking game on his show and the closer look segments on his late show. He has an interesting SNL/30 Rock story of finally finding his place as a writer. Anytime an alum from SNL's history is on this podcast, I listen to it as soon as I wake up on Wednesdays. And with those alum (from any era), it always sounds like Dana Carvey and David Spade are longtime friends with these types of guests because of their shared experiences on SNL. It really sounded like a meat grinder.
  • I have to add Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin and Lorraine Newman to the list of women on the show. Their energy and comedic sensibilities were outstanding!

Please interview SNL band leader sax great Lenny Pickett. He’s been there probably the longest of anybody besides Lorne. Can you imagine the stories and things he has seen! Plus, Dana is such a music nerd the show would be awesome.
