Simone Biles spoke to Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans following her historic Paris Olympics competition where she scored four medals: three gold and one silver. The 27-year-old gymnast says she hasn’t quite wrapped her head around what she achieved at the Games. “I don’t think it’ll set in until I come back home and relish on it and look back at those videos,” she said. Simone won a silver medal on Monday in the floor routine while her teammate Jordan Chiles secured a bronze and the gold went to Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade. Simone explained why the U.S. gymnasts honored Rebeca in the Olympics medal ceremony by bowing down to her as she took the podium. “It was so exciting and obviously we acknowledged that while we were on the podium. Rebeca had such a good day, such a good meet so we’re going to give Rebeca her flowers because she deserves it. It was so exciting to be up there and we knew the impact it would make on all little girls in the sport, especially of color,” she said. Simone, Rebeca and Jordan became the first ever all-Black podium in men’s or women’s gymnastics at the Olympics.

    As a brazilian, I became a bigger fan of Simone after seeing her sportsmanship towards Rebeca. Despite losing the floor final, she's still the GOAT. And she's humble enough to lift others around her. A true leader and role model.
