You mean to tell me I have to torturously stand here and watch Eddie Van Halen improvise on the guitar for an extra eight minutes? Oh the humanity!
  • I feel that in the midst of an accident, the world is lucky to see Eddy Van Halen improvise and be the professionals they were.

3 years later, and it’s still hard to believe he’s gone. The music is great, but seeing Eddie smile is just as infectious.
  • Love the way Eddie improvised and the rest of the band chimed in without skipping a beat. Nice jam session, I could have listened to a whole album like that.

Dave’s voice was totally shot, but he deserved serious props for staying so ridiculously fit. Sadly, this was one of the last times we’d see EVH looking and playing well.
  • I love how Eddie doesn't even skip a beat while checking in on Dave. walkin around being the showman he is. -R.I.P Eddie.
  • @treyedean
I really appreciate Eddie's calming demeanor. I imagine he could diffuse just about any situation with nothing but his smile and his guitar. A true showman and a legend who passed too soon.
  • Eddie couldn't play a single note without flashing that super-grin! I love that as much as any aspect of this incredibly talented and so-fun-to-watch band! Superb!

Very sad to lose Eddie Van Halen. It's an incredible loss

Say what you want about dave, this is a serious display of professionalism. He keeps his reaction to a minimum, tries his best to hide it from the cameras, patches himself up quick and is right back for the next downbeat. That’s life in the major leagues of entertainment, right there...

Eddie Van Halen. A living legend in this video. I can only imagine what it was like to be there. Definitely a tragic loss. He did everything with such ease and so much class.
  • @ZenZill
The fact that they could perform like this into their later years...INSANE! What a gift this concert was, too bad Dave got cut, what a trooper.

Eddie's passing is a huge loss for everyone. The best thing about Eddie was his attitude and smile. Absolutely infectious.
  • @obsidianthe7th
I mean the interruption led to hearing Eddie Van Halen noodling around for a couple minutes, I sure as hell wouldn't complain.

I was running around backstage once and tripped in the dark. I didn't want to break the gear in my hands, so I broke the fall with my face. 🤣 Blood was gushing out and some ladies helped patch me up just in time to get on stage, but it still looked bad. I was playing with Shock-G (Humpty Dance) and when he saw me he said, "Oh shit man, you need these more than me." and handed me his nose glasses. Still one of my favorite memories from my music days. RIP Shock-G

True old skool professionals and respect for the fans who they humbly know helped get them where they are and more to the point keep them at the top. Total respect and admiration for these guys

God getting to listen to Eddie and Alex just jam for a few minutes was a once in a lifetime thing of itself.
  • @MamaTriedSolo
So glad that Eddie and his son could share that time together, preforming. Priceless.
  • I don’t think I will ever get used to Eddie being gone. He was such a huge part of our lives. RIP!

Back in October 1981, VH opened for the Stones at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, Florida. I was there! The ticket was just $15.00 and I still have it in my collection 41 years later.
