  • there's only one builder that is better than Bdubs, and he is "tomorrow's Bdubs"

I'd love to see a series where Etho and Bdubs have a world together, but Etho does all the building and landscaping etc. And Bdubs does all the Redstone and Farms etc.

This technique of Minecraft Trompe-l'oeil is just breathtaking. The Season 9 Big Gate was an incredible study of trompe-l'oeil on a (mostly) 2D surface, but managing to integrate it onto not just 3D surfaces but curved non-orthogonals is just… nope, no words for it. I think there are some builders that could manage to do this technique and find innovative new tricks, but the fact that Bdubs manages to make it in the pursuit of actual art rather than it just being a "tech demo" of materials and placement is just something I've never seen elsewhere. It's not just doing a curve so meticulously as a skill flex, but totally in the service of the architecture. The title of this video is apt. This manages to be both one of the most technically-adept and one of the most beautiful builds I've seen in Minecraft.

This build is incredible. You’d need like a 15 hour documentary to go over every detail, shadow, color and idea packed into this one build. Truly a work of art, great job Bdubs!

When it’s been 10 years and you can still get a Etho Plays Minecraft and a Building With BdoubleO in the same week
  • @jeremym2379
7:53 Soft music plays “…moral of the story: fabric is sold by the yard” 😂 That was peak Bdub and it was great. Don’t change Bdub, don’t change
  • bdubs at this hour? accidental post? anyways. at the start of the video, it always makes me happy to hear someone happy about their work. and its great to hear how others building keeps pushing you forward too as it should for every artist
  • Bdubs making sound panels irl is just like learning “Red- stone with Bdubs “, You Be proud of what you made from scratch!! and of what you learned along the way:)
  • Pretty sure Bdubs is the leading force in the building community. Man’s single handedly revolutionized Minecraft building multiple times

I've been watching Bdubs' videos since 2013, when I was 12 years old. I often wonder what that secret ingredient is that keeps me coming back after all these years. I think the answer is that Bdubs, through both his building and his words, has a special ability to express beauty, meaning, and authenticity. And honestly, that's what art is about, and it's what every artist strives for. So thanks for being my fav artist Bdubs.
  • My good sir, as another member of team Light Gray, I am feeling WAYY out of my league and unprepared, but It is so reassuring and grounding to hear you say even you share those feelings. Looking forward to the build, its gonna be a blast! 💙

Stopped watching after 11 seconds. That’s all I needed. Bdubs best full stop

I love the monochrome choice, it makes the build look like a silhouette. Also when you said this build has no why, a lot of historical structures that have no purpose besides being a monument and still exist because they are just too big to take down. I like the idea that some of the big builds in this world have just existed for thousands of years, so we don’t know why they existed.
  • I think not having a "why" for this building actually makes it more valuable to me. It adds a sense of mystery or age to the build. Especially since it's so large that it almost looms over the village, it really brings to mind images of buildings that have been around so long they start to become part of the natural world like a hill or a mountain.
  • Some people may see this as a block game but building in Minecraft is genuinely an art form and you are the pinnacle of it. Always inspirational bdubs
  • @Kita-xs7lp
Bdubbs just casually knocking out basically the equivalent of a megabase super casual in one episode?? 😭 Dude this is incredible
  • A few things: 1. There is a "why" to the building; it's learning new skills and furthering your capacity to practice them. 2. The compression wasn't bad; the rain is a good mood. 3. Perhaps the rest of the way up to the tower is a bending, curving and snaking path around the lower parts of the terraforming, up to the more formal staircase.
