This was recorded live. Ren does post production to make it sound the way it does. It's ironic that like you said, there's a lot going on in the video, there are 2 people, only one who tells the story and a guitar. Nothing to distract from the story. Ren, always with the duality.

You've probably heard that this remains one of the most difficult performances that Ren and Sam captured. Counts vary, but it took well over 100 tries to get the performance we see here. Thanks for reacting to this, the foundation of a remarkable and important Ren series. Ren and Sam both say the audio is completely live, (although of course processed in post).

I mean, why wouldn't you do something like, oh, I dunno, just record it live if you wanted all the sound in? y'know? Sure someone already said so, but it's live. It's just recorded as it's performed. Live. Heading straight into Part II with you!
