The love that originated from the professor spread to everyone, allowing experimental music to thrive at the Allure Salon...This event is a fusion of Eastern and Western musical traditions, featuring a performance led by Chris Cheung. The program includes classic compositions by Ryuichi Sakamoto as well as selected works by Liu Wenjin and Liu Tianhua, presented through a unique collaboration of erhu and piano trio that highlights the diversity of music.

July 5, 2024: This year, there was no cotton fluff taking off in Tai O, and the kapok tree fruits have finally landed last month.// Do you like listening to seashells? Some say they preserve the sound of the ocean within. What about an erhu then? No, I'm referring to its resonating box - more precisely, press your ear against this Beijing-style round-and-square resonator - is that the altered soundscape of the Book street, or your own inner voice? For a little while longer, can you then hear the past and present of this object, or even the echoes of a century of Chinese music? After twenty years of holding onto the instrument, I employ sound art to accommodate my contemplation. Recently returned to performing, I’m taking a stroll from Liu Wen-jin to Liu Tian-hua and their compositions.
