A land shrouded in ancient myth and centuries of history. Sometimes forgotten between its larger neighbours, Korea is far more than a chapter in someone else's book.

I feel tragedy of Korean people well. Hopefully they will be united into one country. Koreans are really tough people. Love from Poland.

My grandfather fought for South Korea in the Korean War as a medic. He understandably refuses to talk about what he experienced there. Now I get to peacefully live and work here thanks to his sacrifice.

Koreans must always be strong to avoid invasion by neighboring countries.
-
interesting fact: The name Goryeo(Koryŏ), a shortened form of Goguryeo(Koguryŏ), was adopted as the official name in the 5th century, and is the origin of the English name "Korea"

Korea in the 900 has a very sad history. It is truly amazing that after so much suffering, today it is one of the richest countries in the world. Much love from Italy 🇮🇹

Love to all Koreans from America! I’m acutely trying to start learning Korean, and might go to South Korea at some point.

I travelled to South Korea before covid-19 and the country is so beautiful. Their transportation system shocked me is cheap and good, most of all very clean compared to New York city's disgusting subways lol. Their food is delicious and in many cases interesting like kimchi, it took me a little but I really enjoy eating it. They love spicy foods. Chicken and Coffee shops everywhere! Really want to go there again

Love to all Koreans from Germany

As a Korean, I would like to pay huge gratitude for your efforts on making this video. Although understanding about other countries' history is very difficult due to the language barrier, you showed deep and thorough knowledge for Korean history.

"Sir you've been in a coma since 1948" "Oh boy I can't wait to cross the 38th parallel to see my neighbours again.' "Yeah about that..."
-
Holy s**t you have no idea how happy I am that you did the history of Korea. (Me being Korean) How rare is this?! Love your animated histories btw 😁😁👏👏
-
Much love to the Koreans from Turkey! The history from 1892 onwards is sad :/ I hope Korea reunites soon!
-
I'm half Korean and was raised in the U.S. I know so little about my ancestry but I can't help but feel so much pride in seeing a culture thrive despite being in the middle of a tug-of-war since its development.

i just visited Yeosu last weekend and was soooo excited to see the statue of Yi Sunsin and the geobukseon because he's one of my fav historical figures! this is a really simple and well-made video for those looking to learn some of the basics of korean history

During the Korean War my country of denmark sent the arguably most famous hospital ship MS Jutlandia under the UN flag
