  • As a Canadian, I can't imagine coming here as an immigrant. Young Canadians can't even survive here. The country is in a very dark time. We used to be so much better. Canada has lost its way
  • @Dupedupedean
Everything you mentioned is 100% true. I am in Canada, and the country is going down daily.
  • Visited Canada in Dec, 2022.. fast food chain, security jobs filled with Punjabies 😮 Even cheated by a Punjabi taxi driver in Vancouver (over charging + asking for tips) 😢
  • This is fascinating because as 🇨🇦 Seniors having lived all our lives here, we find ourselves homeless and struggling to live. Food costs, inflation, high rents etc etc has dwindled decent pensions to substandard. And we have nowhere else to move to!

Trudeau has ruined Canada. It's one thing to help people from other countries, but not at the expense of Canadians who've been waiting for help first.

Is there a perfect country on this earth? Capital NO. You cannot leave your country and demand perfection in another country. Stay in your country and demand perfection from your government. You are not forced to go to Canada.

The dream became a nightmare due to immigration.
  • I moved to Canada as a student in Sept 2023. I moved back in January 2024. Extremely hard decision. But no regret! It’s not worth it anymore.

Here in Canada, -the roads are certainly NOT paved in gold -well paying jobs ARE hard to come by -Food does NOT fall from the sky -you WILL be a slave along with the rest of Canadians -rent is NOT affordable -it is cold af outside half the year .. to the extent of being life threatening -we have some of THE most expensive schools in the world which you will pay off over the next 20 years post graduation - lastly our current government is full of .. well I think that one speaks for itself already in every language

The main reason that Canada is bringing in half a million migrants and hundreds of thousands of students is to keep the property prices high. If they slow down intake of migration and international students property prices will crash and with it the Canadian economy. Canada earns billions in migration fees, education fees and of course cheap labor like cleaners, carers, and taxi drives, jobs that canadian-born residents will not do. Most students are financed by their Mum and Dad Bank, lived a sheltered life with maids and drivers but with no skills, so they go overseas, and forced to do menial jobs to survive. Back home the family will be looking for a rich partner.

Why does this happen is simple to explain. Newcomers to Canada won't leave their customs behind and many will try to fool the Canadian Government into free handouts ect...ect. Canada is not all about oneself as many Newcomers would like it to be. Most Canadians worked dam hard for years to achieve what we have today. We did not beg our Government for handouts or cry because money was sometimes short, no we did not....we worked harder and showed determination. Unlike many Newcomers to Canada.

As a person living for around twenty years in Canada, the real problem is too much supply of human resources from outside Canada especially from India. This is around 35% and trying to concentrate in certain areas of Canada. This has caused too much burden on Health care, Transportation, housing, and other public services in those areas. Unlike the time I migrated to Canada, all places are now overcrowded. There are not enough job opportunities due to the large influx of students. Thousands of applicants for one job from the day they arrive here. You can get some idea of how many applied on the job site Indeed. This has resulted in companies and job agencies exploiting students by paying low wages and firing them indiscriminately. Therefore, both the Canadian government and the Indian government have a role to play and Students too should be aware of the real situation here.
  • Even if they sleep 10 per room, they'd lie to you how wonderful life is overseas. Pathetic show offs.
  • @Dan5482
I arrived in Canada in 2006 as a skilled immigrant. It was a big mistake. There were no decent jobs and housing prices were astronomical. In 2018 I left Canada and I intend to never return there. Canada is a sad place. An immigration casino. Canada sucks!

I am a Mexican living in Mexico, I have visited Canada on several occasions and I think it is an excellent place to live. The part I don't understand about this report is: if people are leaving Canada, why is the cost of housing still high? In my opinion, the people who are now leaving Canada realized too late that they cannot afford the standard of living in a country like Canada. The same would have happened if they had emigrated to England, France, the United States or Germany. The phenomenon has more to do with the value of work than with Canada. In the last two decades the value of unskilled work has plummeted, no one can live in a moderately developed country with an unskilled job, to make matters worse, now white collar jobs have also begun to disappear. Society is simply transformed again and the effects of this transformation begin to be noticed first in those countries where life is more expensive.

Canadians themselves might be planning to settle abroad. The country is beautiful but not their government. 😒😏😒
  • @user-zy5ig3ux7s
As a Canadian citizen, I can 100% confirm this. Canada has lost the battle of development and care for its citizens
  • @punithraj619
mean while in punjab agencies luring students to Canada like never before.
