Embarrassingly my early memories of Spore were painful, getting beaten by a worm in the Creature Stage. This time I would use the help of google to re-create Earth's most potent organism to give me the best opportunity to beat Spore. The results were unexpected. Let's say the Peace is more complicated than it first seems...Here is my brief review and experience of the 2008 Maxis Classic Spore.

  • That Paul McCartney moment gave me the ugliest belly laugh I've had in years, thank you sir and thank you youtube algorithm
  • @Nate-sv5ny
I was so upset when I saw his water vehicle was not a yellow submarine.
  • @Leathal
Lmao I’ve heard a million variations of the beetle pun and still wasn’t expecting it. Well played

These types of videos are like hidden gems. Man basically created a whole as 20 min video just for the sole purpose of having 1 Paul McCartney joke.
  • @Dan460x
My god that was amazing. Glad to see somebody actually getting into the space stage instead of abruptly ending the video when it begins. Your channel in general is an underrated gem good sir :)

I really like to imagine Paul is just one creature, not the chain of creatures the game implies. He just grew all those parts on his own, like how we grow up
  • @Imepime
Man this game had so much potential. I remember being hyped for this coming out then learning that EA cut like half of the actual content that they had teased for years out of the game..There was video of a "water stage" between cell and creature stage. Looked so cool

I have to say not only is this video quite funny, but it is - perhaps completely accidentally - a pretty solid overview of the game mechanics. Wonderfully done!

Your narrative skills are awesome, you got a new subscriber :)

This was as entertaining as it was hilarious, loved it!
  • @flobah
I chuckled so loudly at Paul McCartney. The serious delivery, comedic timing, and context was just top tier.
  • I love how you noticed there's a music making section in the civilization stage! I know only one other person apart from me who found this feature but he didn't really like it because he couldn't make anything good with it and gave up. I agree that feature is not the best and provides very limited options but it's still interesting to play with it a little bit

"He always seemed constantly annoyed at the local wildlife, as he struggled to get satisfaction" Brilliant writing, Johnno's constant bloodlust did not go unappreciated
  • @SabinStargem
I suspect that some Chlorophil coverage of Black & White would be...interesting. In particular, the parenting techniques for an unruly Creature or disobedient flock.

Not enough people show off the space stage, I think it's really fun! I especially love creating those wildlife sanctuary worlds and filling them up with my own creations. I had one called "Buppyworld" that I filled entirely up with these cute platypus-like species I made
  • The way you narrate this makes it sound like a fucking documentry and I fucking love it, you have my respect and sub.
  • @Entikai
Man, I've played Spore so much back in the day. I love the game, I don't care what others say! I wonder if Beatles can befriend the Grox?
  • i was genuinely so shocked when you actually went with paul. the intro segment immediately intrigued me, and that was a great joke. honestly, this video was great.
  • the amount of music references in this video is so insane it deserves an own video to explain them all😭

the memories I used to play this as a kid like crazy years without playing it such a core memory
