When is someone going to actually show sections being removed!!!
  • @davefoc
Why do the feds keep saying they're paying for it when the situation seems to be the feds are going to pay for it right now until liability and other funding can be worked out?
  • Why is it that the Dali shipping company not paying for the bridge?
  • Oh and as a resident of Baltimore here is what they are not telling you... The ships GPS showed it in the center of the Channel right up to impact the pilot only knew he was out when the bridge came into view. The ship did not intentionally drop its anchor as is being reported if it had the chain would be in the position of being drug behind the ship not vertical as it is now! the anchor dropped when the weight of the Key Bridge Smashed the ships bow. Also NTSB reported the ships black box is missing 2 mins of info leading up to the crash.

Too much talk. Show us pictures of the work as it progresses.

Container ship owner should pay the costs of everything, not the taxpayers.
  • @joblo341
Really. How can there be a "firm replacement cost" if no one has selected a new design and then actually drawn up the blueprints to build it.

reporter, welders to not cut steel work , its platers who do that sort of work
  • @cranbers
Leave it to the senator of Maryland to say American people get to pay for this not the bastards who destroyed it. That ship had no business anywhere near our ports with its history of problems and history of collisions. Yes it hit things before. And in June had issue noted.

I hate to break it to you people, but do you know what happens to a body that's been in the ocean for 2 weeks? Quote from google: "Putrefaction and scavenging creatures will dismember the corpse in a week or two and the bones will sink to the seabed. There they may be slowly buried by marine silt or broken down further over months or years, depending on the acidity of the water."

The feds should NOT be volunteering OUR TAX DOLLARS to pay for the bridge. That is on the insurance company to pay that bill, not the tax payers. The tax payers didn't knock it over.
  • @leemack6758
more like the american people are stuck paying for this would it should be the dali paying to fix the bridge
  • Ban the ship's owner and the ship's operator from all U.S. ports until restitution is made and no reflagging company ships in another country to get past the ban.

Looks the same as it did 2 weeks ago. And four people are presumed dead. Really they have been under water for two weeks.
  • @martyb3294
Why isn’t Maryland paying for this. Where are the tolls? 3:05

Wonder how many times some dumb reporter keeps telling us how hard this is. STOP!
