Well, this has been in production for quite a while. The original version of this song is one of my favorites by Andrew Wrangell, and so in the spirit of Halloween, it only makes sense I would eventually remix this one. For those that don't get the joke, the idea is that a sequence of four notes commonly used in this piece spell out the word "dead". If anything, I've probably put in even more instances of this sequence.
This one uses a combination of flute, violin, trumpet, bass clarinet, trombone, tuba, piano, organ and chimes. ...Yeah, I think this is the first time in which I don't use drumset or any of its components for one of these remixes. I was originally hoping to add in percussion for this one like I did for the "Press F" remix, but it came off as sounding too militarized for the piece. Here, I wanted to amplify the foreboding feeling of the original, mainly courtesy of the organ and chimes.
