Digital PR seems to be all the hype right now. But how can we use it for SEO? Can it help us get backlinks? We talk about that and a lot more in this video.

🔗 Link building has long been synonymous with guest posts and link insertions. However, the SEO landscape is evolving, and as AI-driven content becomes more prominent, the value of links is soaring. This surge in demand is leading to an increased focus on link building, but it also brings challenges.

🔄 The main issue with traditional link building methods is their replicability. If you can buy a link, so can your competitor. Plus, the growing demand for backlinks is turning many websites into link farms, diminishing the value of their links.

🌐 As a result, many are pivoting their strategies towards securing more unique and challenging links. Private Blog Networks (PBNs) are gaining traction as they offer greater control over various factors compared to traditional guest posting.

📢 Meanwhile, Digital PR is becoming a buzzword in the industry. It's about applying traditional PR tactics in the digital realm, focusing on high-quality link acquisition. Although I'm not an expert in digital PR, I'll share insights on leveraging it for SEO and obtaining those coveted high-quality links.

Key Strategies in Digital PR for SEO:

Reactive PR:
HARO (Help A Reporter Out) is a primary platform here. It's a space where journalists seek contributions for their articles. Quick and apt responses can land you spots on significant websites.
Try out platforms like Terkel, Help a B2B Writer, or SourceBottle.
It’s also a great way to make initial contacts for future outreach.

DATA Publishing:

Examples: Pantry and Larder's Interactive Map, Online Casino's Future Gamer Study, Backlinko's Data Studies.
News Jacking or Trend Jacking:

Quickly capitalizing on trending topics can garner attention and backlinks. Setting up alerts on Google and Twitter for specific terms can help you stay ahead.
Coining Terms:

This can be effective if you have a significant audience. Example: Rock Content's take on Inbound Marketing.

Muckrack (though it can be pricey).
Lower-cost alternatives like Prowly by SEMrush, Journolink, and JournoFinder.
