I always just loved Alan Young when I was growing up because of Mr. Ed. When Disney's M.G.M. Studio's opened was when we got to meet him on opening day. We were all so thrilled by that. He was so kind and personable. I don't remember how long my parents and I got to talk to him that day. I have pictures and of course his autograph. He died around the same time as mom, I cried so hard, not only because of mom but because of meeting him too.

I never knew Alan Young did so many voice over roles. I knew him primarily as Scrooge McDuck and Hiram Flaversham. He's got quite an impressive repertoire, listening to this clip. There are a few of his roles that didn't make the Behind the Voice Actors web site, and while "Alan and the Chipmunks" did, it appears they left out the character shown in this video.

Wow, Alan Young has had a good amount of voice acting roles in a life, some are indeed American, some are Scottish like Scrooge, some are British. Alan Young happened to actually be an American born in England, what a surprise that is.

Alan Young Is part my childhood, I still miss him so far. I was enjoy watching Ducktales with Scrooge McDuck since I was 3 or 4. It was the most beautiful days and the most wonderful days of 1990s and 2000s with Scrooge McDuck, Ducktales, Alan Young and Disney Afternoon shows. If you know how sad I am, suffer, and cried for his loss passes away with Yuko Mizutani , Kouji Wada, Alan Rickman, Pat Harrington Jr , Richard Libertini, Janet Waldo and Carrie Fisher . All of them were all pieces of my childhood and my happiness their passing was my greatest tragedy again, destroyed my life again and made me to hate the hateful 2016. I wish every day we all back in time to save them from death, to change past and history to better place no mater what people say.
  • I remember him he did the voice of scrooge mcduck on ducktales love that show.
