  • As a developer at Sensible we managed for the most part to escape the ST to Amiga coding route. Phew! It's so refreshing seeing new stuff coming out that takes advantage of the Amiga hardware - and what superb hardware it is too! Great Video as always mate!
  • Wow, MVG... thank you ever so much for reviewing my games and the boxes, I'm so pleased you like them! As usual a fantastic video and of course your technical decision points about the Amiga are absolutely spot on. I'm considering doing a shooter next or Hyper Sports which is one of my favourite arcade sports games that I remember back in the day. Stay well and I hope you and your family have a great xmas and new year!
  • The Amiga is still my fav computer of all time, I had so much fun with the amiga range of computers back in the day 🙃
  • I love that these kinds of projects are STILL being done, and new life is being breathed into old PCs and consoles. Amazing work by Geyser Games!
  • I loved my Amiga so much. It's great to see people are still working to develop for it. These games look great.
  • I never really had access to Amigas growing up, but I remember the one time I got to use them. I saw one in a computer store that was running Lemmings and I was blown away by the graphics and even more so by the sound. I was used to MS-DOS PCs (and PCs without sound cards) and this was so far above and beyond anything I had experienced.
  • Great video! The Amiga is indeed an astonishing machine for its time. Opening a big box game is always like opening a present at Christmas every time. Thank you for sharing this great games with us.
  • When all my friends had Segas, Nintendos & Commodore 64s - I felt so superior with the beast that was the Amiga

Great research and review, Geezer continues to create awesome games for the Amiga. So many other games need to be ported, fixed, updated. Thanks for shining a light towards the Amiga Scene MVG :)
  • @Cyko..
I had an Amiga 500 back in the day and loved every game I got for it. These games look absolutely stunning!

I'm lucky enough to have spoken to mcgeezer on several occasions. Really friendly guy, and an absolutely amazing coder.

It's really pleasing to see what these machines were capable of, especially the OCS machines, not necessarily that much weaker but the color depth could make ports a challenge. Apparently the whole "ported to a weaker system, then to another micro" hampered the MSX too, with several ports from the Spectrum of all things.

Amiga had a few really good arcade conversions. Toki, Super Off Road ("can you feel it angels?"), Pang, New Zealand Story, Rodland & Rainbow Islands. All of them quality ports. Silkworm was one of the few games that actually improved on Amiga, upping the resolution from 256x240 to 320x200 made it feel so much better than the original. If you never played the arcade, try it in MAME, you will recoil in horror and appreciate the extra horizontal resolution.

Very nice Video! Thank you for the update on my well beloved Amiga.
  • @TravisStamper
Nice to see some things still coming out physically. Amazingly enough I have never used an Amiga. Everything else but never that one. Thanks for the video MVG
  • @WalrusFPGA
I love that the Rygar port has gamma correction baked into the graphics for a more authentic feel to the original presentation on a 15khz CRT. looks fantastic!
  • @stompreaper
This is outstanding. They look like fantastic (re)creations. So much respect for the development effort here.
  • That Bombjack port is amazing. Happy memories in the arcade, less so at home. Cheers
  • @MegaManNeo
Great to see the homebrew community being so passionate about what its doing. Too bad I do not have an Amiga, otherwise I would have probably picked up Bombjack which I remember well from the GameBoy.
