  • I know it’s bad, I’ve seen even conservatives say this cartoon was bad.
  • @loneneko
I swear to god. This is like watching every political movement in the US race for last place and bragging about it.
  • As a conservative its not even anti woke its just cringe Additionally, I thought we wanted entertainment without pandering, Not just no pandering to the leftist, just no pandering period. Let things be apolitical and fun.
  • God is punishing humanity for its hubris by letting this, Velma season 2, and that megamind sequel/series release within the same year.
  • @applecatnyango
TDW: "Let's make an anti-woke cartoon." Mr.Birchum: Has a gay character meant to be made fun of TDW audience: "A gay character in my cartoon? This thing is WOKE!"
  • I'm noticing a pattern. Velma had super fast line delivery to appeal to the younger generation... This shit has super slow line delivery to appeal to the boomers and older generation... They both suck at what they do, and this is easily as insufferable as Velma... only saving grace is it's not crapping on a beloved childhood IP

How does every adult "comedy" have the budget of a Super Bowl yet the art and animation looks like crap
  • If you make a TV show with the express purpose of being obnoxiously self-righteous about your political ideologies, then it is going to be bad. Regardless of what those ideologies are. I just do not get how people haven't figured this out yet.

Proof that propaganda will never be a substitute for actually good writing no matter what side u take
  • @pingu9213
This is no different than the “woke” cartoons they criticize.
  • Why did Ben Shapiro of all people think he could make a comedy show?
  • @Daesma999
quoting Hazbin Hotel: "WOOOW! That was shit! 😀"
  • @BananaManInaPan
I honestly didn't believe you at first when you said this was worse than Velma. But at the very least Velma had Fred. This show so far, has absolutely no likeable or based characters.
  • @dimitrije018
Vaush is going to be the best character im calling it now
  • Lame joke after lame joke , useless flashbacks , and pointless scenes. As someone who leans conservative , what a giant ball of cringe .
  • @dizguy24
It is a dark day indeed when Nux is asking for Velma back 😨
  • @Surunasu
I find it funny how the daughter is obsessed with wood...because she has the personality of a plank. Literally every other character is as insufferable or boring as every character in Velma...only they don't have Fred so this is clearly the worse show. Thank you for your sacrifice Nux!! ALSO, I'd like to point out that Bobs Burgers had one episode that did what this show is trying to do...and it actually worked and was a good commentary on how the School system is flawed.

The sad thing here is...there's actually a good concept buried under the heavy-handed traditionalist messaging. A conservative Father married to a Liberal mother with their two kids is a strong setting for both comedy and drama. Even some of the jokes have potential. The joke about the mom asking for "white painters" could land solidly. Picture this: the exact same scenario has happened, and the mom is panicked and stressed about making the house sale and is muttering to herself while on the phone waiting to be picked up, "I need to buy white paint and hire painters, hire painters, buy white paint. Yes, hello? I need to hire white painters and..." Beat "Wait, no that's not what I, the painters don't have to be white, I need white paint." "Ma'am..." "I'm sorry I didn't mean that, I'm really stressed, blah blah blah." By allowing the joke to flow from a panicked state of mind, accidently combing two phrases together is a common thing, that it perfectly sets up the joke and by lingering on it a little longer with a beat pause and the mom rapid-fire explaining while the person on the other side of the call is trying to reassure her that they understand while the mom is talking over them allows the joke to breath and turns it from an "oops I said something that sounds racist" joke into a joke that's more about social awkwardness, panic, and embarrassment. It's almost the same joke, but it lands more naturally and fluidly, and can resonate with a wide demographic. A series like this, written to actually be funny or dramatic over pushing Shapiro's political views, willing to make fun of the excesses on both conservatives and liberals, pointing out similarities, and having a family that does love each other despite having different view points and beliefs could be a wildly successful show like the Golden age of The Simpsons.

Its like a cross between King of the Hill and Family Guy but got the worst parts of both.
