  • My cat flaps down on his back and just stretches out when I rub his belly. Never tried to bite or swat me. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.
  • My cat not only likes tummy rubs, but when sprawled out on our grass outside, would let strangers rub her tummy. People were always amazed.
  • My cat (female short-hair tuxie) loves having her belly rubbed. She meows, purrs and makes biscuits ❤

All of my cats have been what I call 'belly cats', they loved their belly rubs and would only relax once I have my hand on their belly keeping them warm

I have 2 cats. A 15 yr old boy, and a 13 yr old girl. They love tummy rubs, and will ask for them when they want them!

3 of our 4 cats LOVE belly rubs. We love it too.
  • We have a brand-new kitten, 2 months old, he was very skittish in the beginning which we expected. However, few weeks in, this cat rolls over on his back stretches, and lets me rub that belly for as long as I can, while purring. It’s definitely rare in cats, but if you earn their trust, they’ll let you!

My little orange man loves his tummy rubs! Whenever I come back home, we do his “I missed you” flops. Or “tummy & the spine.” (Sing that like “Benny & the Jets,”) There’s lots of head bunts, a huge purr & some little love nips on my toes & lots of hope that you don’t need to use the bathroom immediately after coming in the door. It’s been our routine since he came home from the shelter. He’s four, & I just love this squishy happy dude so squishin happy much! 💜🐾

Squeak is an Austro-Hungarian farm cat. We noticed after living in Nagykovácsi for 14 years that Hungarian cats do solicit and enjoy tummy pets.
  • @ItsJustLisa
My tabby girl loves belly rubs! She flops over as soon as someone gets close to her. The only “trap” is that she expects you to rub for quite a while.

All of our cats have loved to have their belly rubbed and scratched. None have ever hissed, swatted, or swiped at us!! Have had cats for 35 years. We even had some jump into the sink in the bathroom and turn belly up while we're sitting on the loo!

One of my cats loves chest rubs. As long as I don't do more than one or two rubs on the belly and stick to his chest, everything is good.
  • @LKre-vi5oq
I have one kitty who loves her tummy rubbed, gently, for about five minutes. Once a day. My other cat hates it.
  • @ursyoola
My tuxie lets me blow raspberries on his tummy. I don't know if he likes it or is just tolerating it, but he doesn't try to swat me away!
