A lot of the reason people (myself included) enjoy the old episodes so much is the original Amir personality. As you guys evolved the character and focused more on the "heartless/psychotic" aspect of him (giving more access to crazier plot devices and dialogue) a lot of the charm of the needy, innocent Amir died off. Not saying the original is better (both these episodes are great for mostly different reasons), but it seems you guys either don't acknowledge the humor of the old dynamic or it just doesn't click with you anymore (probably why it changed in the first place). Good writing and witty zingers are the backbone of comedy, but they aren't everything to why people may enjoy it.

Workout Clothes is definitely top tier.

How about “New Voice” and “Earings”? Both of them have Jake being insecure, and those are always priceless.

Work Out Clothes is one of my all time favourites. I’ve never listened to the actual song but I keep saying ”Pop the molly I’m sweating.” despite there never being a good context for it.

Honestly I prefer the older dynamic between the characters in videos like yoga over the more argumentative later episodes

Yoga is my all time favorite episode tbh! The "So let me get this straight.... you're jealous tha-" "No, youre already wrong" is my fav J&A joke and the one that comes into my mind and makes me laugh most all these years later!
