JLUV's tone in that video was kinda shocking to me, that he seemed... somehow excited about this? just bizarre. I have no skin in the vintage game but I feel bad for the honest people out there that will be crushed by this.

I feel for vintage collectors. As a modern collector, I hope tcg companies work on this quick and take this matter seriously before it kills the hobby lol

I think modern alt-arts and SIRs are too hard to hit for scanning to ever make sense. You'd have to scan 700-ish packs to get a card worth a few hundred dollars. Most people in the hobby are buying packs from big box retailers anyway. Vintage may be affected but imo that's a niche part of the hobby.

Just you wait. People send cards to middlemen to be graded, people will be offering a middleman service for this. Absolute greed has taken over a hobby I enjoyed with my son.

What’s up Retroactively Charcoal Activated Bottoms-Up Virgin Gang, hope you’re doing alright I am friggin’ fantastic today!

As a medical professional it’s wild to me this equipment is even accessible for this. Should be strictly for medical facilities, engineering, etc. Hope they know what they’re doing some ct scanners can emit a lot of radiation.

Bro was today years old when he realized the Pokemon TCG hobby is primarily money-driven instead of passion-driven.
  • @PokemonOverflow
With the acceptance of breaks and mystery packs, we ultimately allowed this to happen.

Might catch some flack for this but I hope any of the TCG companies slap a cease and desists or some type of legal documentation on this company. Didn’t care too much about it at first, but their whole “it’s time for the little guys to take back vintage from the rich” robinhood-esque mantra on their site really pissed me off. They claim they’re giving the little guys the power at long last to get their packs CT scanned since “allegedly” all the big dogs have been doing it in secret for years (which isn’t impossible, but still no hard evidence for that). Very clearly a money grab from a group of people who previously didn’t give two fucks about cards until now

Some real weird stuff going on, and ever weirder with the way people are excited about this, it’s basically cracking the foundation of the whole Hobby
  • @sosbrigaders
    I don’t have to pay 75 bucks to know I ain’t pullin shit 🥲
  • @hammer3515
Imagine if CT Scan technology progresses because of POKEMON CARDS lmao
  • @The_Card_Father
TPCI and all other card companies need to take legal action in some way to stop this before it causes serious problems.
  • @naturesepyon
If you're spending 10k-100k on an unopened vintage booster box, spending a couple hundred to guarantee authenticity and that the packs haven't been searched & resealed is a good thing. No longer will vintage boxes all be priced with Charizard "as a possibility" when the box doesn't contain an actual zard. Some good can come from this.
  • @Pokemon_Doctor
They need to leave CT scanning to me in the ER…I agree this is very dumb
  • @famicommike9014
This is why aliens don't come to earth and lodge satellites up our a$$ like they did to Cartman in South Park.
  • @RocSandy
This shit won't change anything. Feel free to spend $65 to send your Twilight Masquerade booster box just to find out it has nothing 😂
  • This is like ppl paying 100$ to find out **** is in the new deadpool movie. Then trying to sell you their ticket for 200$.
  • @shawnthomas2195
This is just BS man. I was hoping this wouldn't catch on, but holy hell here we are.
  • @Bigdog7499
this is huge for sports cards in the worst of ways, we are talking boxes that already cost $500 plus (for modern) and is a total scam, i'm done with people if they do this...ill go back to funko pops if this is whats coming to pokemon and sports cards, F this crap.
