Zhujiajiao is a place where ancient traditions merge beautifully with modern life. It's a quaint Watertown only a short 1hr metro ride away from Shanghai. Filled with twisting waterways, cobblestone streets, and curved rock bridges, where you'll find yourself fully immersed in a world of cute tea houses, centuries-old residences, and lively market stalls serving up some local delicacies, it's a living museum of Chinese culture, craftsmanship, and history dating back as far as the Ming Dynasty in the 1300s and is truly an enchanting, ancient gem nestled within China.

Went there before Covid and I have been fascinated with Chinese historical buildings and history.

I was in Venice in February, kind of disappointed. Chinese water towns have very different vibe, at least they are cuter, cleaner, older and more exquisite and affordable than Venice. I personally prefer Chinese water town. Don't know why people keep dubbing them as Venice of China. Thank you for sharing anyway.
  • @starlights006
also the Venice of china is 1000 older than the Italian one
  • Thank you for showing the REAL CHINA, unlike some fake youtuber video showing China in a bad light ! Hope you enjoy your visit and thanks for showing the tips on how to travel in China better.

For the other food item, seller said RMB 12 for 500 gram. In China 1 Jin means 1 catty but their 1 Jin is 500gram

  • I'm glad to see you come to China. If you encounter problems in China, you can always consult the young people you meet around you. They will give you the most enthusiastic help because they are exposed to the forefront of science and technology. Regarding Chinese food, you can consult the merchants on how to eat it, and they will be happy to teach you. I hope you have a happy journey in China.

im surprise that i havent seen you try Jian bing in any of the videos yet ?! highly recommend its a Chinese savoury crepe very common for breakfast (crepe itself + egg + soybean paste + coriander + fried bean curd for crunchy texture some places might put process meat similar to spam and optional chilli paste as well) had to describe it incase you might not like the ingredient lol. another common breakfast they have is the fried chinese donut (long stick of fried dough) and fresh un sweeten soybean milk.

Salamanders are a group of amphibians typically characterized by their lizard-like appearance, with slender bodies, blunt snouts, short limbs projecting at right angles to the body, and the presence of a tail in both larvae and adults.Salamander diversity is highest in eastern North America, especially in the Appalachian Mountains; most species are found in the Holarctic realm, with some species present in the Neotropical realm. The Chinese call it: "Baby Fish"Chinese pronunciation is: "WA WA YU".

salamanders are amphibians. They are closer related to frogs. But this species is a consider living fossil that remain same as 165 million years ago. Never seen these colors though.
